Tumbler Ridge is a small planned resource community, a winding 90 minute drive from the nearest city of at least 10,000 people.
A massive number of people are going to descend there tomorrow.
May those that arrive have respect and grace for the unimaginable grief.

And eternity, my friend, is a long fucking time.
They are fucking murderers
Nuremberg trials for ICE is the moderate position
it is funny how all the fictional monsters we imagined taking over the U.S. for the last 30 years are objectively better people than the current regime. Give me Skeletor, please. Cobra Commander wants to run shit? He can hardly be worse than what we're rockin' today. It's worth a shot!
I love this hugely. The art is fun and lovely, and you getting back into a glimmer like this is so wonderful. I've been writing more than I used to - not a lot, just a tiny step, but I really appreciate the forward motion, and soul engagement of picking up the pencil
omg SOSOSO much love! This is wonderful. Beautiful collection. THANK YOU for making the time to show this to me ๐๐โจ๏ธ
Hah. Persnickity. I'm glad it's working out now, though. And oh my stars yes, if you ever wanted to, that would be incredible
Hah! Hekate do be like that, from what I understand. But great protection. ๐โจ๏ธ I'm a big stone/crystal girlie, tbh
Awh. Hey lady! ๐ Thank you. This is my regular armour ๐ฅฐ
Picture shows a collection of things on a desk: four rings, four beaded bracelets, one pentacle moon pendent, one cord necklace that ends in a small net with a red stone in it, and small transparent black bag with three stones in it
This is the corvid-adjacent collection of things that I chose to take off of my person before walking to the gym facility on campus. Small spells and emotional support stones galore. I am amused, and also happy that my comfort collection seems to work pretty well actually.
None of this nonsense, please.
(White supremacy, racism, bigotry, misogyny, capitalism, genocide (all of it), fascism, Nazis, colonialism and colonization, patriarchy, and/or all related prime evil bedfellows are not welcome here. Kindly fuck all the way off.)
be kind, for everyone is kung fu fighting a battle you know nothing about
Welp. I was just horrifically attacked by a tarot card. (Seven of Wands, reversed.) I may need to take sick leave to recover. Damn.
This is generally my experience. Ugh. Solidarity ๐ป
Also, things we'll NEVER do...
Give you up
Let you down
Run around around and desert you
Make you cry
Say goodbye
Tell a lie
Hurt you
Picture shows a screenshot of a text window. The first bubble (white text in a green bubble) reads "Unrelated...," the second text is a screenshot from 1901h on Friday, November 7 showing live notifications from the Google NHL tracker for the Winnipeg Jets versus San Jose Sharks hockey game, the third text is a gif from the original West Side Story film of the Jets gang dancing in the street
(Family group chat.) I will never not be amused when the Jets (go Jets, gooooooooo!) play the Sharks.
"When you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way...."
Picture shows a pre-sunset skyscape. At the bottom are silhouetted trees, then above, the hazy-cloud sky starts pinkish and eases into grey-blue. The full moon is in the lower middle of thd picture
Picture shows a pre-sunset skyscape. At the bottom are silhouetted trees, then, behind, the sky is blue-grey with ripple-y clouds in the lower middle. The clouds get bigger and more grey at the top of the photo
Life is pretty life-y. Moods are pretty mood-y. And this timeline is a hellscape. All life-y life, mood-y moods and hellscape-y timelines make Kimothy withdraw pretty entirely.
Hi Bluesky-ians. I hope things are as okay as possible, and with glimmers.
Oh hellllllllll yes
Blurry picture of the moon early in the morning
Treeline at the bottom, red sun peeking through mid picture, behind trees, pink-orange sky above
Treeline at the bottom, red sun (due to wildfire smoke) just above the treetops, mid picture, in a hazy orange-pink sky
Cutoff treeling at the bottom, red-orange sun, mid-left picture, skewed by fluffy, white clouds
Today, in sky.
(I'm existentially fucking tired, friends. I know you are, too. Take care of yourselves and of each other ๐)
Did you know that there was once a racehorse (in the late 1700s) called Potoooooooo? Pot8os. POTATOES. This is one of my favourite article topics to date. I LOVE horses. I LOVE potatoes. I LOVE weird, cute, funny, clever things ๐
A small brown mushroom in a lawn of green grass and leaves
A group of small bright orange wildflowers, all on one stem, with a puffy, seeding dandelion and browning grass lawn in the background
A grey skyscape with the tops of trees in the lower right, and bright clouds in the middle, and a bright, orange-pink sun peeking out of the clouds in the middle left of the picture
The front half of a panting black poodle in a grass yard in front of a blue fence above a grey cement brick retaining wall
Nothing. Just more of my dog walk plant collection (photos) trips
Fluffy, dandelion-like seeding flowers, in a clump, in the forefront, against a background of long grasses and trees
The fluffy seed globe of a dying dandelion against a background of dry, brown grass
A curved stem with green bell-like husks along it, the topmost covered in spider webs, with a background of dry, dying grasses and wildflowers, and a blurry, vague house far in the back
A fluffy, late-stage frond of fireweed against a background of other tall grasses, and trees
I love late summer wildflowers. They are beautiful and fascinating and important, and they showcase the beauty of the approaching transition to a new season.
Small pale yellow snapdragon-like flowers grown in a lawn against a brown wooden fence
Daisy or black-eyed-Susan-like flowers with large brown centres and thin red petals growing in a garden beside a small grass lawn overlooking trees
A spring of goldenrod and other tall grasses and various wildflowers growing messily in front of a small group of trees with a setting sun flare to the far middle left side of the image, during a golden hour
A tall clover flower and other (also) tall grasses and various wildflowers growing messily in front of a small group of trees, along a residential road, with a setting sun flare to the middle left side of the image, during a golden hour
Bluesky people. I haven't posted in months, but you are choosing to follow in droves. I'm sure most of you are bots or bot adjacent, but it's still weird. BUT ALSO...thank you to the human folks. Here is a random collection of almost-fall dog walk glimmers for you
We ended it with the addition of wasabi (now I want sushi), Hope Blooms (an incredible youth led community project in Nova Scotia), and seed balls. Today was a fun day. Now on to walking, and having an afternoon tub date with a book.
(It's a "pioneer plant" that grows and thrives after devastation. It's a beautiful plant that I see often on my walks and excursions in the area I live and I love it very, very much. Today it means a little more.)
Picture shows a close up of a fireweed plant (with vibrant pink flowers) with several others in the background. The sky is very blue, and there is greenery surrounding it
One of the things I like the most about my other(/weekend/part-time) job is that I get to learn about whatever I want to learn about. Today that has been thylacines and (currently) fireweed. I'm having A Day and I'm in A Mood (that I'm going to try to write about later). Fireweed is helping.
Erm. The fun and community and love and greeting assholes with peace signs, I mean. (I'm tired ๐ )
Hell yes. I love this so much ๐
Racism is believing a Black woman who graduated from Harvard Law school is unqualified for the Supreme Court, while also believing a white convicted felon who can barely speak coherently should be President.
The bar is so high for woman & people of color, yet so low for mediocre white men.
