Are there, perhaps, any recent examples of dubious characters with obvious security risks being appointed to the House of Lords?

the gap between "i built this with AI in 20 min" and "it took 3 hours to debug the regex" is the entire vibe coding experience

If Starmer was "deliberately kept in the dark", by the Foreign office, then it was surely signed off by the Foreign secretary?
So if Starmer doesn't have to resign from government, surely David Lammy has to?

Think private credit’s lack of liquidity is bad? Guess again. It’s actually good because the inability to access your money means that private credit funds can lend it to companies that are far more risky, too risky in fact for anyone else to lend to

I love Keir Starmer for the sheer fact that no matter what question you ask him, he sounds like an alien wearing an Edgar Suit.

"Now look what you made me do".
Trying to justify attacks on Jews as payback for the actions of Israel is antisemitic.

Now it runs nicely from a server - i.e. feel free to open on anything, don't worry about it eating memory - and cycle through 2014-2025, repositioning parties as you please.

A few climate maps generated on the same heightmaps with different wind patterns, using the new wind generation method. It does seem that they end up less varied, hmm...

Added MultiMesh support to my FloppyBit tech. The leaf clusters are a single MultiMeshInstance3D. Although the leaves are individually controlled, it's a single draw-call with no bones and no shader. 🐧🪴

I would really like to see a "declouding" movement where consumers demand any software that doesn't strictly need to be in the cloud, be downloadable to run locally on their own hardware.

The way that things used to be.

“Fidesz lost power so democratic backsliding isn’t really that much of a thing” is the worst, most complacent take possible. The minimalist definition of democracy as a system in which parties lose elections is a great place to start, but that’s all it is.

a 3D tree asset on the left, with an arrow pointing to spritesheets on the right. The spritesheets contain 2 albedo sprites (front and side) and 2 normal sprites (also front and side).

Did you know you can set up a scene and render it to a texture without any nodes in #Godot, by directly using the RenderingServer? We automatically generate billboard sprites for meshes this way.

There's not much info about the RenderingServer online, so I wrote about it:

Maybe the social symptoms aren't due to some malevolent externality but because the base reality sucks.

My hot take is that if a chart starts to dip after 2008, it's probably due to the lost economic decades since then.

• Round edges (even 1 segment adds a ton of flair!)
• Taper legs and vertical supports
• Create squircle-like shapes

Ah, @xordev.com ported my erosion filter to Shadertoy alternative fragcoord.xyz, where all the parameters can be conveniently tweaked with sliders instead of having to edit code values and recompile.
