Tara Campbell is the embodiment of a self-righteous traitor in almost any sense of the word. A collaberator and a pitiful one at that. I've still got like, a ton of this book to chew through, but the opening has not made me in any way sympathetic to her cause or motivations.

Tara Campbell trying to scold someone who was resisting Clan occupation on Terra for stealing food so they could eat and keep up the fight against the occupiers was definitely something so far in the Long Road. All while she's brutally taken them down in the name of her new Clan Masters.

In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

You'll notice that the BLR and TDR also are only a little longer. The reason why is the mechs that are "Generic" really are... uhhh, generic.

At least with the TDR I could lean into some Capellan stuff early on. The Locust is great- it's just... everyone uses it. So there is less to lean into.
