Day 1+2: Commute and Work

I like the idea of Rex from We're Back having a day job and rather then walking, which would cause a certain amount of chaos on the sidewalk, he elects to commute by car... the only difference being that he treats his car more like a skateboard.

Could have a "perma mode" where the player character gets ate/captured and respawns as a different character in that small resistance mentioned. Player 'health' is the number of resistance critters left and goes down with each character eaten. 'Health' can be recovered by freeing captured characters

Micros go down as easily as chips and you know chips, you can't just eat one bag.

Clothes offer a great frosting to either prey, predator, or even stomach. My favorite is when gut debris linger in the stomach to give the place a sense of *history.* Half digested shoes and scrap cloth can add to that. The newly devoured prey isn't the first and most certainly won't be the last.

That awkward moment when you think you're about to just shatter some windows, but it doesn't come, but also the feeling doesn't go away. So you just sit there waiting, then the prey shifts ever so slightly and now you've woken up the street.
