I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Oh yeah. Good thing I have adhd and don’t have the concentration to worry about that mistake for long.

One of the things I’ve learnt as a late diagnosed ADHDer, is that my emotional responses are often delayed. So if something happens, it’s often not for several hours, or a day later, that I realise how sad or angry I am about it. I’ve learnt to say “I’m going to process that and come back to you”

I’ve been freelancing for over 15 years now, and the novelty of being excited for work on a Monday never gets old. I mean, I need more caffeine these days to action anything, but still…it’s nice.

Haven’t watched The Traitors final yet, but have already accidentally seen spoilers. Now wondering whether to bother watching it. In truth, I always find the final episode of a competitive show a bit…boring.

Actually that would be amazing if possible, your group is often who I think about in this situation (and @gail.bsky.social raves about it)

The decision of what to do with my Facebook freelance community has become such a head vs heart dilemma. My heart knows moving it is the right thing to do, but logically it’s a challenge because a) there’s no easy alternative that a decent number will adopt, b) it brings in clients.

From a practical pov too, we try not to go big on the stocking, because at school it leads to one child saying ‘Santa got me this massive thing’, followed by others saying “am I on the naughty list?” if they didn’t.

Years. Not days!

It’s only my son who gets one, we don’t do adult ones. We tend to do something like a book, something he can wear, something he can eat and maybe a bath bomb. The stocking is usually from the big guy in red, so in the last few days a cheaper Nintendo game will be in there too.

Oh that’s a great shout about the capsules! Sadly done the drop in and call round already, I usually get it through Pharmacy2u, then start the ring round when they email to say it’s out of stock. The irony that adhd meds come with this bonus of lots of boring admin…

Uk adhd people - how are you doing with the meds shortage? I’m into my second month now of not being able to get any (thankfully I rationed to half doses so still have some left). Can’t seem to find much info on when the stocks will return.
