I saw an article titled "Late Night Monologue Takes On Carney Trump Meeting" from a Canadian news outlet and was annoyed there are no Canadian Late Night Monologues... so I made one.

If we collaborated and worked together we could find the answer very quickly, but the game is set-up for competition, not collaboration.
At the end, you race to a room to state your findings. You then check a piece of paper. You pass or you fail. That’s it. (Ok, this last bit is just about a PhD)
All the people have pompous titles. You may or may not know what they mean.
Everyone works on their own research program.
Everyone is suspicious of everyone else and trying to learn more about what they’ve got.
Only the first one to publish gets any points.
The points aren’t good for anything.
My children got me to play Clue with them. As an academic, this feels very familiar.
First, there are no rules in our box. You have to figure it out as you go, or ask another player. Their answer may or may not turn out to be right.
I’m reimagining Clue as the game of Academia.

Yes! Graphic novels (and other story forms that combine words and images can be complex, political, academic and valuable. Reading text and images is great for us!

It’s an old standby but “Solidarity” has for me, made a come back.
Inspired by valentines, I may also try “love and courage tender comrade” although that’s only for the right people.
Also, there is something to me that you are fighting the start of emails, and I the end.
I have long loved and felt inspired by Pat Parker's poetry. The thing about living in precedented times is that inspiring poems from the past are awfully relevant again/still.
When they come, they will find me as I live, in the work.

There are three types of reserved parking spots at the high school. There are:
-accessible ones for students with disabilities,
-elder parking for Indigenous elders,
-parking for students with young children who attend the in school day care.
I love this. The three signs make me smile every time.
Hundreds of protesters gather outside Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to demand it roll back restrictions on transgender care for youth:

While despair is always willing to be home, again today I do not choose it.
I chose to breath deeply and expand my lungs fully.
I chose to be compassionate to others and practice care and generosity.
I chose to value myself and care for me.
I chose to value my communities and work in love.
Equity matters in toilets and washing spaces:
Are these spaces accessible? Sinks and mirrors as well as toilets?
Do automatic taps activate with all skin colours?
Could someone with an aid of a different gender use it?
Are there facilities for wudu? Are there free menstrual supplies?
Clean?
All toilets should have menstrual supplies available (ideally free) and have places to dispose of menstrual products. Buildings should anticipate people needing to access toilets that are not gender segregated and not wait for someone to ask.
addressed, there are no inappropriate people. Multi- stall toilets can be without gender segregation if there is sufficient privacy in stalls. (We can talk more about how to do this, including making sure someone entering can see who is in the space)…
An adult bathroom can be converted to ungendered option. If there is no single stall option, enhance privacy in existing spaces (often by extending partitions to floor and ceiling). All member of the community need to know that we don’t police identity in bathrooms. Inappropriate behaviour gets..
Where possible, increase single stall, accessible toilets (not demarked by gender). This is often easy in new builds, but in my experience, existing school often do have option(s). Accessing this space can not be more difficult than accessing other toilets (no requirement to sign list or pay for key
I really love this, it’s you at the top of a mic drop.
And - local guidance about how to operationalize the protections in the code does make sense. Clarity for staff, students and families is helpful. We need to expand the guidance to make sure that nonbinary young people have access to sport and physical education. We can, and should do better
We already know that girls (including trans girls) should be able to access girls’ change rooms. We’ve got clear guidance from the human rights code.
I’m glad we’re not going to be engaging in public consultation about the humanity of trans girls.

My gender has become unrecognized by executive order have I become illegible? Am I now a cryptid? Is it like when countries do not recognize each other - I no longer have diplomatic relations with the US government?
My gender is unrecognized. It is organic, wild and feral. It can not be contained.
