Today is United Nations Chinese Language Day, which highlights the rich cultural and historical contributions of the Chinese language, one of the six official languages of the United Nations! Our celebrations last week included a Sichuan opera Bian Lian performance and interactive booths.

Arts Week at the Junior School was absolutely magical! It featured an artist panel, dance and drama workshops, performances by our Primary Choir and the Steel Pan Club, school-wide singing, and fine arts installations. This week reminded us just how vibrant and talented our arts community truly is.

Eight Upper School students went to University of Toronto Schools last week for the fourth annual Brilliancy and Resiliency Conference! The theme was "Roots: Belonging as Black Canadians, Embracing Culture" and we were joined by students from 18 other independent schools.

Yesterday was Grad Hunt, our tradition where Grads hide around the Upper School and Gr. 7 students find them. When discovered, Grads have to give up their Grad belts to the students that found them. We're incredibly proud of Lia in Grade 10, who spent two weeks in China representing Team Canada at the 2026 World Junior Wushu Championships. Her results were outstanding: gold in Changquan (Handform), gold in Gunshu (Cudgel), and bronze in Daoshu (Broadsword).
