Day 17 is a cop out.
I love all of the soundtracks (except for one-winged angel it’s just overplayed.)
I have the good fortune to live near a major city where the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds symphony tour passes through regularly.
I try to go every time, because it’s always full of memories.
Let’s get back to this with day 16.
My favorite spell is Meteor from FF4 or Ultima from FF6.
In FF4, the first time we see Meteor cast it kills a character.
In FF6, the first time you see Ultima being cast you know you’re in for a bad time.
10/10, Eistinien would confuse you for Alphinaud!

Scions would catch up to you, you’d be given the option of where you’d go next.
Like say you started in Gridania, you’d be there for a set of quests and then it oh Linkpearl noise, and then you could go to Ishgard or Kugane… it’d be the players choice.

We do all of this while staying one step ahead of the Scions who are trying to get us to do all the scutwork that an expansion would normally be filled with.

I had a notion for a “dream expansion” where the WoL ACTUALLY gets a vacation. Basically it’s an “around the world tour” through the old expansions where we got to see the effects our actions had on the world…

Honestly, she wants to pack it all in and tell the Scions to get bent.
She keeps going back to Elpis and Aumarot reading all that she can, talking to souls trying to learn what her Seat represents.
She fights for the Star. She also fights so other people can sleep peacefully and live boring lives.
When I say that it changed her, it’s more profound than it seems. She feels the weight of the Seat of Azem and her responsibility to the Star.
The petty politics of Tural grated on her, after fighting the literal incarnation of despair.
The moon is quiet and eternal. She wants to move there.

Meeting the Watcher, spending time in Elpis and Aumarot, it changed her.
She plays Stones with the Watcher and talks about her life, and asks about his. He showed her a hidden crater with a view of Eitherys… and promised not to share her location.
This has a super specific reason behind it - I grew up watching cooking shows on PBS and I always hear the Cajun chef saying “I GAR-RUN-TEE!”
So now I struggle with guarantee. I’ve actually typed it into google to make sure I was spelling it right.

Her hair! She used to be strawberry blonde, and one year she commissioned Jandelaine to turn her hair a bright lavender. She’s kept it that color ever since, it’s her trademark.
She also won’t sleep someplace strange. She goes home every night to rest.

After 9 yeareals, it's finally my turn to post the "a thousand cereals" clip, seeing as how I'm the idiot who made it.
I don’t know what I just watched.
They aren’t!
My main was an orphan and she bought a small house in Shirogane until a medium opened in Mist right by the beach.
My alt bought a small “fixer-upper” in Lavender beds, but the main floor is slowly being reclaimed by the forest.
My main is a social drinker.
My alt is an alcoholic after the events of Endwalker; his favorite drink is a neon green “tequila” made from cactuars, mixed with some stronger spirits distilled in Thavnair.
I chose those fights deliberately because otherwise I’d gush about the tower of Kefka from 6, and the theme music entitled “Dancing Mad”, a 15 minute multi-movement piece considered Uematsu-sensei’s magnum opus before the popular whiny mommy complex was even a thought in his creators mind.
Day 15 and we’re back with my favorite “boss” fight.
It’s a secret battle in FF5, and it’s Gogo. You literally do nothing and win.
If that’s not allowed, then my next favorite is “ENOUHH OF THIS EXPOSITORY BANTER! ITS TIME TO FIGHT LIKE MEN! AND WOMEN WHO DRESS LIKE MEN!”
It’s taken decades, but the richest Americans have chopped down the tentpole.
Day 14
Not a huge surprise, but my favorite summoner is Yuna. She was a fantastic heroine.
I sense a theme.
Day 13 is short and sweet - my favorite Black Mage is Vivi. The questions he asks are the same ones I grapple with.
And for day 12, it’s our favorite White Mage.
My choice is Rosa from FF4. She doesn’t have much depth, but she supports Cecil with her entire heart. One of the best early SNES love stories.
Day 11 is making me break my restriction on not using XIV - my favorite dragoon is the Azure Dragoon, Eistinien.
He knows he isn’t perfect, but he tries.

Day 10 - favorite class…
I have to go with Summoner. Every time I see Bahamian descend for the first time in a playthrough, I get chills. Nothing more bad ass.
