You knocked it out of the park once again. Hats off to you! I like all of this. I typically Muhammed and Big Citrus. Green varies a lot per draft boards, so who knows where he actually goes. If we decide to not pick team needs, I have a soft spot of for Gennings Dunker in the 2nd round if he's there

I think it's the Wisconsin personality. I live in AZ but my dad's side is from Wisconsin. I don't care about the nice guy act, even though I do like my dad's side of the family quite a bit. I have more of a hard-nosed Boston or Philly attitude than a "Ope, gosh, jeepers" midwest attitude.
I honestly feel like a lot of the Packers podcasters are also complacent. There's a reason why I should be nowhere near a podcast microphone. My tolerance for BS is basically the floor. I'm happy to tell people what they don't want to hear.
That's the thing. We're always "competitive", but never competing for a Super Bowl. That would require us to actually go through the up and down cycles that other teams have. We can't just rely on picking up gems in rounds 2-4. At some point, we need to trade up in top of round 1 or just tank.
No, they can't. They can only trade this year's comp picks, but they don't have any until the 7th round, I think.
Brinson could replace Brooks. McDuffie or Hopper could replace Franklin. St. Juste could replace Nixon/Valentine.
Parsons will be out for the first 4 weeks, so Sorrell or Cox Jr will take his spot. Packers lost all games w/o Parsons last year. The first 4 weeks could be very ugly shoot-outs.
In this best case scenario, we would stabilize the middle-class of the roster, albeit we would need these draft picks to just be average. They don't need to be good, but Gutie sometimes get good players in the middle rounds.
We do have younger back-ups but older free agents are taking their spots.
Best case scenario from draft (trade down???):
* Get 2 C-rated CBs.
* Get 1 C-rated DE or NT.
* Get 1 C-rated blocking TE.
* Get 1 C-rated swing interior OL
* Get a high-upside RB in 7th round like Monangai
* Get a back-up QB similar to Willis. If Love gets injured, we're screwed if Ridder plays.
Defense (assuming 3-4):
DE: Brooks. D.
NT: Hargrave. C. He's old.
DT: Wyatt. B
OLB: Van Ness. C
MLB: Franklin. C. He's old and sucked last season.
MLB: Cooper. A.
OLB: Parsons. A.
CB: Nixon. D.
SS: McKinney. A.
FS: Williams. B.
CB: Valentine. D.
NB: Bullard. B.
Overall: C
Going position by position, my evaluation:
QB: A
RB: B (Jacobs regression and Lloyd is a no-show. No real RB2).
WR: B (Good but not elite)
TE: B (Kraft: A. Musgrave: C)
LT: ?
LG: C
C: C
RG: ?
RT: A
Overall: B
We had bad injury luck last year and so we might have good luck with that this year, but with our losses and lack of good additions, we're due for talent regression. Lots of competitive NFC teams make me think the Packers will be on the brink of the playoffs again. The Packers are running it back. 🫤
Our free agent signings aren't moving the needle. They're roster fillers. Analysts are saying that we need growth from the guys already on the roster, but most of those guys are already starters. Our O-Line is murky. LT and RG are unproven, young guys. C and LG are okay. Star RT returns from injury.
No Packers fan wants to hear this but I think our window actually may have closed. The Parsons and Love contracts plus losing 1st round picks means that we can't restock the team with quality players. I think we're more similar to the Seahawks in decline than we are to the Rams who are ascending.
I genuinely think the Packers will not draft anyone good in this draft. They're simply drafting too far back in the 2nd round to get good value. Either we trade up and get a guy who can contribute immediately or just get 4-5 guys who can be solid back-ups right now in the Super Bowl run this year.
The more I do mock drafts for the Packers regardless of big board that is used, it's getting uglier and uglier. The Packers need to trade down from their 2nd round pick, because the DT and CBs available are in the next shelf of the draft. They need more picks anyways to fill out their bench.
Just bought it! I'm so excited to start reading it tomorrow! I've read precious few queer novels and I'm happy to add this to my collection.
After long conversations with ChatGPT, I've realized that it is extremely "centrist" and will argue to the death with anything that supports socialism or major political change. If AI is implemented as a "moderator" in discourse, it will promote corporate power, status quo, and, ultimately, fascism.
Not a fan of Musgrave. We need to replace him but also we need to use our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th picks on team needs. We’re not going to get a speedy, athletic TE who can play this year out of round 5 or later. I’d wait to get his replacement next year.
Raridon is a fun Y, though.
Well, that sucked. Suns can still get the 8th seed, but this hurts.
Two takeaways:
* Booker got into foul trouble early and had to ease up late, meaning Blazers had easier drives late.
* Blazers are god-tier at 2nd chance points. Suns need a big man to vacuum the ball in the air.
Wow, the Suns finally got back into sync.
Unfortunately, Brooks got a tech. Man, can you just not? Just play clean and don’t be rude.
I’m curious how Blazers will strike back. Holliday needs to get some open looks. He’s hella clutch.
This game is getting ugly. Very little real basketball. How did the Suns even make it to the play-in? They’re a weird team, man. They need some tall shooters and defensive guards.
They’re too reliant on middies and fast breaks.
Brooks is a culture guy but his play is just very ehhh.
Looking at stats at halftime, two things stand out. The Suns are living off of and-1s as Green's last second triple shows. The Blazers starters are all pretty solid players. Even Scoot is better than expected. I'd give the edge to the Blazers if they keep their steady pace while the Suns undulate.
I hope for the Giants sake, they keep him. It would be sad if they get a defensive haul in the draft but they end up being thin at DT if they trade Lawrence. The new Giants coaching regime should sign Lawrence as a show of good faith in their veterans. Play well, we keep you.
Well, Blazers got a bit sloppy and tired and the Suns took advantage. Suns are behind by 3 at half. Nail-biter of a game.
Literally everything is going wrong for the Suns now. This is some of the worst basketball I’ve seen in a bit. The Suns simply cannot create shots unless they’re trying to get and-1s. They need more horizontal passes and off-ball screens. Pick n roll isn’t working when players run into Clingan.
Suns should thank their lucky stars the Blazers are missing their shots. The Suns are leaving guys wide open or simply leaving the post wide open. Deni is gonna cook with all that space. Booker is already red hot. Suns need their big men to play with more juice.
SUNS FANS RISE UP!!! We're drinking. They're blazing. Let's have a blast!
I keep taking him in the mocks in the 5th or 6th round. He's way too talented to not take at that point. If he was polished, he would be a 3rd round QB with a lot of upside to be a starter in a few years. To me, he's a step below Malik in terms of his devleopment, but that's fine b/c we have Ridder.
Dude, I wish you were the Packers GM. You know your shit. I like all of the guys drafted here. This is the dream scenario.
My biggest concern is that we're not gonna get those guys. I'll always trade the 3rd for two fourths because we need to fill our bench and give us more bites at the apple.
