Doing smaller pixel art first and then resizing it to do higher resolution art is a great idea, like thumbnailing in concept art, wonderful to see the finished piece and the secret pixelart version : )

I am reminded of the fear of criticism I had for years as 2000s criticism of your art could range from "your interests suck and you are worthless, kys" to "I like it but maybe you could try changing these things next time like this (...)" and you never knew which one you were gonna get...

I am like, ok show me videos of arena shooter games, and youtube inbetween results is like, oh, are you looking for music? Bollywood trailers perhaps? Perchance, Industrial machines?
Like nothing against those, but again, not what I am searching for youtube...

For years I have had an issue with youtube where I can search one thing and in the search it keeps showing me completely unrelated stuff I did not search for and am not the slight bit interested in... and its like in between search results... its exhausting

So while I never got diagnosed with bipolarity I can in the least empathize with the emotional shifts.
Regardless the diagnosis is a good step towards improving our clarity and quality of life!

My mom told me of the example that as a preteen I excitedly begged for a bionicle and when she finally said ok fine we'll take it, I completely did a 180 and started crying saying I didnt deserve it and was a bad kid for begging... similar situations kept happening through out my preteens

While diagnosed Bipolarity is not something I have experience with, my depression (sonce 8yo) tended to be of big highs and huge lows, so they ended up giving me downers. But I have memories of happy moments flipping on a dime to depressive episodes even as a kid.

My mom specially tends to discount her repetitive habits and reactions to things not being done a certain way as "her dumb rituals" without much further thought, despite the fact these thing drain her energy imensely if they dont happen

Oh, glad to hear the psych is understanding! And also its always a big step when we manage to finally discuss the things bothering us deeply.
My brother has Schizophrenia and my mom has OCD, I can understand the effects of stigma yeah...

From my own experience o psychs since 8yo, sadly some when you open just seem to escalate the situation rather than try to understand based on what they already know... it ended up feeling like some things we could only open up to to friends : (

I know text stories and flash files also used to be posted as well, nowadays I mostly lurk DA. I am not saying these changes arent generally bad, more poking fun at how ridiculous they are.

He grew up on gamefaqs where the walkthroughs were raw txt documents, he reads fast... but many sites nowadays do make it a pain to get any information. That and the seclusion of information onto discords (of which the users are antipathic/tired of helping) also bothers both of us a lot

My brother years ago complained about how hes tired of searching on how to do something and only finding youtube videos because he can read much faster than they explain it. However over time a lot of information became only available in portions of youtube videos (this was about modding)
