Yes, always - and that's an extra follow as well...

Isn't that beautiful...
Oh yes - both format and content were ripe for her scorn.
One of the most joyful moments for me was watching one of her specials and realising just how much she *loathed* Jayne Macdonald...
Poster for the 1960 film The Criminal directed by Joseph Losey and starring Stanley Baker. The poster is an illustration (not a photo, very 1960) of Baker standing tall, and in the background, illustrations of several scenes from the film.

I'm doing a lot of DIY at the moment, so I've downloaded the Radio France app to my phone. It's magnificent.
Would you count The Satan Bug (1965) as SF?
Yes. The absolute refusal to tie things up with a neat bow at the end. Brilliant.
Isn't it. Everyone is on top, top form - and what a lovely breakout role for George C Scott.
I'm aware "jokes" is a strictly relative term...
Fascinating thing about #YourSacked* this year - they're all *far* too young to get any of Lord Sugar's jokes.

Oh yes. The daytime repeats in the mid-70s were highly formative for me.
That line is a masterpiece of both construction and delivery.
I'm cleaning out my dad's books now, and this is exactly my process. Much as I honour his memory and much as I deeply love old books, I can't keep all of them, so it's going to be just the ones I would *actually* read.
I mentioned this in one of Joel's threads, but the reaction to Officer Crabtree saying "I was pissing by when I heard a shat" is absolutely off the scale. It's a glorious moment.
A bookseller writes: I think that's absolutely right. My son had, and read, all of them in hardback as soon as they came out. He'll be 40 in October. Kids These Days have moved on, and rightly so.
Oh yes - and it was *incredible*
An exceptional piece of writing - worthy of its subject, I think.
It's delightful, isn't it - and yes, yes she is.
Exactly.
I was watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics. The commentators were being slightly bemused by the technofunk section - meanwhile, all the European athletes in their early/mid 20s were having a high old time *and* knew all the words...
Ride The High Country ftw
C'est magnifique!
Serious question, no wrong answer - is there any way of pitching for an anthology series with a star attached? Or is it still the core idea that they won't touch?
I own the hardback of this - it's brilliant. So pleased that it's now coming out in versions that will actually pay Joel properly...
How did I get into Tintin? Because my dad's barber had a copy of King Ottokar's Sceptre with the front cover missing.
Matt and Gail are good people - please help if you can.
Good result for the Greens, and I for one am looking forward to the endless stream of columns saying "This result confirms all my pre-existing prejudices"...
"And remember, Siadwel - you are a tool". I laughed *so* much.
Been there, sadly. I literally feel your pain.
