Won't have time to write tomorrow.

Will probably break my all time 30-day word record on Sat. Not gonna promise anything, since that's asking for fate to give me a migraine or something, but I'm only 2.5k words away.

Wasn't going for a record this year. My characters thought otherwise, apparently.

18 days into the super amazing writing month. Took the first week off work to just write. Reached my initial monthly goal on the 16th, so I'm considering what the new goal should be. If this continues, I might beat my record, but I doubt that.

So all in all, it's going great.

a woman in a purple dress is standing next to a woman in a brown dress with the words trendizisst on the bottom Alt: This is a gif showing the evil stepmother, a woman in a fancy purple and brown dress and the most epic umbrella hat, pouring lentils and beans on the floor in front of Cinderella, who wears a plain brown and white dress, because Cinderella hinted that she has no work to do, and wanted to go to the ball. This gif is from the movie Three Wishes for Cinderella, and the best version is the Norwegian one, where all the voices are done by one guy named Knut Risan. It broadcasts every Dec 24th at 11 AM on national television in Norway, and the year they tried not showing it they got so many complaints.

It's not hard writing action scenes or dialogue or confessions of love. What's truly hard is writing about someone drawing the blinds (WHAT EVEN ARE THE LITTLE STRINGS YOU PULL CALLED??) or describing mundane movements that you do a thousand times but never ever put into words.

My grandpa got published after he turned 70. I think he was past 80 when he released his 6th or 7th book. I'm sure he'd continue until he was 100 if his health didn't catch up with him.

It's not too late until you decide it's too late

It's way too close to November for me to think about anything but my plot, and I'm off to a two day long work conference.

I also have a presentation at 8 am on Friday that I haven't prepared for.

This is gonna be an interesting few days for sure.

(...) get the two mixed up.

(Since I'm super anxious to come across as rude/criticizing: That is not my intention! It *is* really easy to get them mixed up, especially if not familiar with the area.)

The correct spot is here:

I remember my grandparents took us there when we were kids, and I drive past there when I'm in Oslo and go for a nostalgia drive.

The right spot is a liiittle bit further north, tho, but the two spots have awkwardly similar names that means approximately the same in Norwegian, so it's easy to (...)

I'm a bit unsure about the spelling, but it's the pork belly in pork broth one. I'm pretty sure it's the same, tho.

Come to think of it, there's also these chewy apple sweets that taste like real Apple, which I think is Japanese. They're also dangerously good

(Clarification: The tonkorsu ramen was called that, not the restaurant)

It's been ten years since our trip, and still hubs and I talk about that ramen place every time we have ramen, which was named "Ramen with EVERYTHING" on the English sign. It was just the best, and i'm genuinely sad I can't recommend it to anyone anymore, since they closed down and all.

I have a thing for tonkotsu ramen, probably because we found a hidden ramen shop in a side alley close to Takeshita Street, Tokyo. Their pork stock was the best, we never found any other even close, but sadly they've closed down since we visited.

This is Hugo. He was found under a truck and communicates through biting, but is spoilt rotten and we love him very much.

Also known as Meowarotti, because he performs operas when he feels we're late with feeding time.

Same with ours, only Norwegian forest cat instead of maine coon, just because he's long-haired.

He's just a Norwegian street mix with a whole lotta attitude found beneath a truck when he was about a year old, really. But he's taken over our home and hearts, som it's all good xD

But then again, freshly baked goods aren't the worst reason to have to walk for a couple of minutes.

Besides, I have comfy shoes, so at least my feet won't hurt.

I walked around Oslo for a long time before going to a concert yesterday, so my everything hurts.

It was worth it.

Though, after 31k steps in one day I'm hating myself just a lil bit for not stocking up on breakfast items before the concert yesterday so I wouldn't have to walk now.

I'm in Oslo!

Too bad my ADHD meds stayed back home.

Just my luck, my meds are apparently sold out in the whole city, too.

I will survive, but tomorrow might get ✨interesting✨

(I'd probably like it if it was giving off newer Sonata vibes, too, or if it was completely new and experimental vibes. I love nearly anything they do, tbh)

First In Line gives me a lot of older Sonata vibes, and at first impression I love it SO much

I had a shitty day at work yesterday, so I kept off social media and went to bed super early...

...and MISSED THAT SONATA ARCTICA SNEAK-DROPPED A NEW SINGLE AT MIDNIGHT AAAAAAA!!!

(At least I got a huge serotonin boost this morning)

Yep! xD

It's been the highlight of my year for most of the 15 years I've done it. When the leaves start falling I know our local writing group will wake up from the mostly dead to start prepping.

It's the most wonderful time of the year 💜

Can't believe this will be my 15th year participating (14th in a row) and hopefully 10th year winning.

Not going for any crazy record breaking numbers this year, tho. My brain has been a mush this year, and I need some brain power left for work >.>
