Arizona workers die from heat exposure every year. Here are a few of their stories Arizona has never had state regulations specifically to protect workers from heat. And as climate change drives more intense heat waves, heat-related worker deaths in Arizona appear to be increasing…

Workers are literally dying from extreme heat. No one should die just for going to work.

We will continue to fight for enforceable heat standards until we have the protections we need.

Keeping up with the cost of living is no joke. Security officers like Geoff need higher wages now. That’s why he’s uniting with officers across California with @USWW to fight for a fair contract. #StandForSecurity

The Trump Administration’s $1,000 Tax Refund Promise Falls Short by $665 IRS data show that tax refunds, which naturally fluctuate year to year, are up only $346 after the Trump administration repeatedly promised that they would increase by “$1,000 or more.”

They promised $1,000 back.
But when you do the math? It falls short, by like a lot.

Meanwhile, billionaires and corporations keep cashing in.
So no, there’s no “lack of money.”

It’s about who they choose to give it to. https://seiu.co/4sA7ZUJ

Tesla. Disney. CVS Health. United Airlines. PayPal. Billions in profits. $0 in federal corporate income taxes.
That money should be funding schools, healthcare, and public services.
This is why people are mad as hell.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Service Workers across Phoenix are speaking out for a living wage!

With poverty wages, even a one-bedroom is out of reach.

@mayorgallego.bsky.social @cityofphoenixaz.bsky.social City Council, it’s time to create a real path to $25/hr!

Work an hour and still can’t afford basic food. 🤬

And they’ll tell you it’s your fault.

WRONG.

Working people are doing their part. The system isn’t.

An Arizona commission will consider rules for workplace heat safety this week Arizona labor groups are calling for state regulations to require specific protections from heat in workplaces. But actions from the state have so far fallen short of what workers have called for.

Last month AZ declined to recommend an enforceable workplace heat safety standard. Now a commission is considering next steps.

We won’t back down. We need real protections:

👉🏾 Access to cool water
👉🏾 AC breakrooms
👉🏾 Training to recognize heat illness

Children are losing food. Families are getting buried in red tape. State agencies are being gutted. And folks in power want us to call this reform?
Arizona is the alarm bell. The whole country better listen.

She paid into Medicare for years. Trump's immigration policy will end her coverage A provision in the GOP's One Big Beautiful Bill Act will make Rosa María Carranza and an estimated 100,000 other lawfully present immigrant seniors ineligible. Her once secure retirement is in question.

This country was happy to take immigrant workers’ labor AND their Medicare contributions.
Now, when it’s time for them to retire, suddenly they want to cut them off?
That’s not just unfair. It’s exploitative. https://seiu.co/4mkRWsB

Slashing Medicaid doesn’t happen in isolation.

First, hospitals cut staff.
Then maternity care disappears.
Then mental health services go.
Emergency rooms get overwhelmed.
Families have to travel farther just to get care.

This is what’s at stake.

Slashing Medicaid means your local hospital cuts staff.
Then it cuts maternity care.
Then mental health care.
Then emergency care gets backed up.
Then families have to drive farther.
Then… I can keep going.

The 'Black recession' is here: Trump's tariffs gutted Black workers and Black-owned businesses According to data from Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, Black Americans have suffered the most under Trump's tariffs program.

A “golden age” was promised.

Instead, a ‘Black recession’ is what we got. Many Black workers are facing higher unemployment and fewer pathways to stability.

Policies that raise costs and weaken equity protections don’t build economies—they deepen inequality. https://seiu.co/47O2gmV
