My daughter has always been a big reader because it was something we did together from the time she was born. Now, at 14 years old, she's big into manga, so we sometimes do a 'book exchange'. I have to read a manga of her choice and she has to read a book of my choice. We both learn from it.

I hear ya--I have MS and I've developed a habit of trying to do one thing--no matter how small--everytime I get up, no matter how shitty I feel, so at least I feel like there's SOME progress to my day outside of sleeping/pain. Otherwise it's easy to get demoralized.
