Retro x86 gaming has never been better. Between emulation (DOSBox, PCem/86Box), FPGA (MiSTer ao486), there are many options. But running real DOS wasn't possible with sound. SBEMU (https://github.com/crazii/SBEMU is a new DOS Sound Blaster emulator for computers w/ AC97 and solves that problem!

Speaking of retro tech sounds, this very cool video from the Retrocet channel captures the dial up modem negotiation sounds at various speeds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xalTFH5ht-k I had no idea that V.90 56K needed a digital line on the server side.

Before SSDs became a thing, I always wanted to put together a maxed out desktop with 15K rpm SCSI or SAS drives. The excellent PhilsComputerLab channel has a recording of how cool Seagate Cheetahs sounded like: https://youtu.be/1QcMpPyUzlQ?t=76
