I know what reconciliation is. Just like I know what leverage and exerting power are, unfortunately Democrats don’t. They won’t. Democrats don’t have the internal fortitude to stand up for their principles.

They aren’t in control either, they don’t have the votes to pass anything. They are weak and instead of pushing the advantage we are just going to roll over and then wonder why people see the Democratic Party as weak and feckless.

Why should I care how they vote? I care about how Democrats keep bending over backwards to allow this to happen. If they can’t pass it without Democratic votes why should Democrats vote for it if they don’t get some consideration of our priorities?

I’m talking about the vote that is about to happen in the next couple of hours. All of the Democratic priorities that had been negotiated in the first bill have been stripped away and is a commitment from Republicans to strip away money from the most vulnerable. Watch how many Democrats vote for it.

The Democrats will provide them, and then wonder why voters don’t see the danger of Republican governance.

I’m blaming Democrats for enabling it. They keep bailing out the Republicans and don’t understand why voters don’t understand why Republican governance is so bad.
