Chesterfield County’s proposed $2.3 billion budget includes $60,000 to maintain the county’s system of 141 Flock Safety automated license plate readers, and more than $260,000 to hire three new intelligence officers whose responsibilities will include interpreting the data collected by the cameras.
Ethylene oxide, also known as EtO, is used across a wide range of industries. It’s used in antifreeze and various chemical processes, and as a sterilization agent in medical technology.
It’s also highly toxic — and there are two sterilization plants in the Greater Richmond region.

A sixth unnamed "active threat" was also investigated and cleared.
UPDATE: The University of Virginia and Bridgewater College have issued an all-clear alert, because no devices were found.
Normal operations have resumed at Clemons and Shannon Libraries at UVA, and the Forrer Learning Commons at BC.
At least three Virginia colleges have received bomb threats today: Bridgewater College, George Mason University and the University of Virginia.
Evacuations are currently ongoing at the schools as officials are investigating.

Cleo E. Powell was formally sworn into her new role Monday as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia.
