Novelist. Free app, lets me access my writing on multiple devices, and is simple with enough customizing options that it's not "so simple that I have to change how I organize stuff".

A couple of leaves of a mini lotus plant that are both still rolled up the way they first grow. One is starting to loosen, though.
Rufus might open another leaf soon.
April is National Poetry Month!
I'm working on a collection inspired by the Major Arcana of tarot.
For now, there's my collection of American cinquains.
A new report from the University of California shows that the state's decision to raise the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20/hr didn’t hurt jobs, or raise prices much.
Data from over 2,000 restaurants shows that the $20/hr minimum wage didn’t reduce employment.

I want to update everyone on all the things I accomplished today.
My back told me to sit or lay as needed and accomplish taking care of myself.
We figured out this weekend that my interest in staff work seriously leans toward silambam. This should be interesting with a family member who knows there are many forms of martial arts, but also kind of sees everything as karate.
As someone who values the kind of relationship with others wherein you grow as people & encourage the best in each other, please know that if you have what you perceived as a growing relationship with a racialized person and they call you in regarding internalized yt sprmcy, that is a *kindness.*

Getting a little more nervous about this, so I'd really appreciate it if you could buy some books or drop something in the tip jar.
Even better, take away some of my poetry writing time by getting a divination reading!
Okay, yeah, I'll still write poems. That's just me.
Last day of the sale!!!

I am halfway through this just now, and I am absolutely loving it! I really can't recommend it enough, it's like a warm hearth for the soul.
You (yes, you!) should definitely grab yourself a copy if you haven't already.
Bill (spider plant), Ted (pothos), and Rufus (lotus plant) living together in a 2 gallon tank.
I'm going to have to learn how to trim Bill soon. I've never had a spider plant growing in a way that would require holding size back some before.
In case you missed it yesterday...
Made the cover myself & am pretty proud of it! Digital artwork, first sketched with pencil & paper before I took it into Krita & finished the art there (outline & color)! I used a free version of Canva to add the words!
Tonight’s work in progress!
I have spots available for personal readings. There are a few different card readings you can choose, or a dice reading.
Readings are emailed as very detailed pdf reports that walk you through each step of interpretation.

Take some time to really look at what this means for you. Is it possible to bring the old and new together to create something that is truly yours? Why do you want to do the new stuff? What's really in your heart?
People close to see may seem like they're unwilling to move forward with you. They're trying to keep you tied to the way things have been working. It's not that they see you as someone sure to fail, but that they don't want to be left behind and not be there to catch you if you fall.
Three cards from the Rhythm and Soul Tarot deck. Ace of Axes (Swords), 3 of Roots (Pentacles), and The Moon.
This week's three card reading:
A surge of energy is coming, and it's not exactly concerned about what might be in it's path! That can be some big reveals, sudden opportunities, or a rush of personal energy and fresh ideas. Whether this is a good or bad thing really depends on what you do with it.
Imagine being the kind of psychopath who values imaginary money more thsn this.
i think my greatest distain for certain types of phrases and rhetoric is the one where people equate Humanity as a Disease or Parasite
Stop that shit.
Humans are awesome. We can do awesome things. We can do better, be better.
Most of the things we do is not humanity, but the systems in place that
Life has carried me in a lot of different directions, and I shouldn't have ended up in some of the places that I did.
That seems to be giving me an appreciation for Wolverine that I couldn't have without those experiences.
This should be interesting.
Tyler MANE did, in fact, play WereFabio.
When the movie was over and names were coming up on screen, okay, yes, I knew Halle Berry was Storm, Gandolf was Magneto... But then there's Tyler Mane.
Tyler MANE.
I said, "I swear, if that's the guy who played WereFabio..."
I was also paying too much attention to hair, because I kept saying Rogue's hair was wrong. And I knew she shouldn't touch that boy.
Thanks to someone I dated in high school, all I know about Rogue and Gambit is that they are in love, she can never touch him, and I can never master his card tricks.
Look, that is a stereotypical depiction of a werewolf - man/beast hybrid monster - but with a hair care routine that probably costs a few thousand dollars per month.
I'm thinking the hair IS his mutant ability!
But, so... Here we are, all these years (decades, at this point) later, watching a movie I last saw a few lifetimes ago, and no I don't remember who everybody is.
And that's how Sabertooth became WereFabio.
I said Patrick Stewart should play Professor X, and for years I was dismissed with, "It's not Star Trek!"
Thank you, whoever did casting and unintentionally backed me up.
I did give some friends advice on creative ways to analy stimulate themselves once the news was out that Patrick Stewart would play Professor X.
We had first heard rumors that there would be a movie several years before, and of course the "Who do you think will play...?" started.
I saw the first X-Men movie as soon as it was out on video, and have not seen any others. Spouse and I agreed to use our weekly movie nights for a while to get me caught up.
Most of my X-Men knowledge comes from friends in high school talking about the comics. So I am aware, but not knowledgeable.
