It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the continued growth of both teachers and students at San Marcos CISD — a special shoutout to CJ Odam, whose leadership has been instrumental in the success of this partnership.
Every virtual world was built from a clear plan — proof that strong computer science instruction isn’t just about tools, but about teaching students to structure ideas, solve problems, and bring their creativity to life.
Before students ever opened the platform, Mr. Loveless equipped them with structured workbooks and guided questions to help organize their thinking.
Students began by researching a “passion project” topic, from hurricanes to comic books, then transformed their findings into interactive virtual experiences on Hello World.

What stood out most wasn’t just the technology, but the thoughtful conversations around equity, readiness, and how to support teachers well in this moment.
Leaders from Duncanville ISD, Mesquite ISD, Ferris ISD, Wills Point ISD, Lancaster ISD, and Faith Family Academy (Oak Cliff) stepped into the student experience — building projects, planning real classroom implementation, and using VR that make AI tangible for young learners.

Region 10 to explore what meaningful AI literacy can look like in K–12 classrooms.
