I used the blender plugin listed here: bsky.app/profile/phir... !
It allows ya to texture paint using aseprite in real-time, with the UV mapping overlayed over the canvas and all :) Haven't played around much with the animation features but seems like there are features involving that as well.

most of the heavy lifting is done by this fur system github.com/maxvolumedev... then tweaking the Turbulence and Jitter params
The fuzziness is also kinda amplified via a noise texture on the normals / roughness maps (had to add these on top of the system tho ๐๐)
quick test of what it could look like when water is dripping with a simple gradient texture - works surprisingly well !

been playin around with a mouse-only hack and slash game called "This Frog's got a Big Sword!" where you make a little froggy on a lily pad surfboard go spin vs some rubber ducks >:(

Currently going through ways to adapt the different artifacts you'd find on a CRT. Might not end up keeping it for this game but am learning quite a lot! haha
