A white garment with some kind of food stain. Humiliating.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

Here is an easy solution:

Food stains are humiliating, as they suggest you're a little baby who can't feed themselves.

Oil stains, such as those you'd get from working on your car, suggest you're tough, independent, and skilled.

Thus, simply cover your food stains with used motor oil.

For me, it's that he spent the last 4 years of his life pursuing Ona Judge who successfully escaped him: placing ads, sending agents to track her down, etc. I like thinking about that.

Putting together an analysis of all the anti trans laws over the last few years and there's never been anything like this in US history. The total number of state laws passed in 5 years (300+) approaches the total number of Jim Crow laws (400+) passed over a 100 years.

It’s not just Medicaid funding they’re withholding to MN. It’s food assistance, child care assistance, social services, job training, safety testing, public health, disaster relief. SNAP. Free lunch for kids in school.

They hate us for loving our neighbors, and are collectively punishing us for it.

So I was just looking at a story about the MN House being back in session for the first time since the speaker was murdered.

Several disgusted comments along the lines of “Are you telling me they haven’t been in session since JUNE?”

People very disgusted at what they assume is laziness. (1/3)

Increasingly ICE seems to be sending single cars (lots of Subarus) with one agent (some women) to sit in various neighborhood all days. There’s also a belief some may be ICE-contracted bounty hunter types. They’re not as noticeable and it’s not clear what they’re casing, but they’re really lurking.

Economic Response Fund Grant Guidelines Small businesses in Minnesota that have experienced operational disruptions in recent weeks may now apply for emergency financial support through the Economic Response Fund.

I'm going to promote the heck out of this:

The Minneapolis Foundation has $4 million in grants available to small businesses for everything from rent and payroll costs to legal help and temporary relocation.

EXCLUSIVE: US border czar says ICE surge could end in 'a couple weeks' U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan says he was sent to Minnesota by President Trump to reduce the tension in Minnesota and oversee an orderly transition from a “surge” of immigration enforcement to more stand...

Well look at that! The 700 officers that were supposed to have left will definitely start leaving soon! I'm so angry about everyone who reported on this so-called drawdown. When this administration tells you something: Verify before parroting.

Trump Using A ‘Softer Touch’ With ICE In Minnesota? Residents Say Don’t Be Fooled. Two weeks after Alex Pretti’s killing, federal agents have shown no signs of backing down. The resistance definitely hasn't.

NEW: The Trump admin certainly put on a show last week about changing tactics in Minnesota after ICE agents killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old VA nurse.

Trump even suggested it's time for "a softer touch."

Except residents say nothing has changed. At all. www.huffpost.com/entry/ice-mi...

Bullet hole raises questions about federal authorities' account of shooting

Photographic evidence from the shooting scene of a Venezuelan man by federal agents last month in Minneapolis supports the account of witnesses there — and appears to undercut the narrative provided by federal officials.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has repeatedly claimed that an officer fired a single shot in self-defense during a violent encounter involving a shovel and a broom on Jan. 14, shortly after a man fled from a traffic stop during a targeted enforcement effort.

But at a federal court hearing in St. Paul on Tuesday, an attorney for one of the men accused of assaulting that officer showed a federal judge and several reporters photographs on his laptop depicting a single bullet hole through the front door of the north Minneapolis home. Additional photographs show damage consistent with a bullet fragment lodged in a bedroom wall down the hallway — suggesting it traveled between a mattress and a portable crib in a room where several small children sleep.

That supports what family members have said all along: A federal agent shot at them through the front door, striking 24-year-old Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis in the thigh, while they were inside the threshold of the residence.

ICE can’t get judicial warrants not because the process is complicated, they don’t have probable cause. They could not swear it in an oath. It is that fucking simple and any reporting on statements from them should say so.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

That means ~815k Minnesotans participated in the shutdown and ~310k in the strike. That would make Minnesota’s January 23 general strike one of the largest in history.

This was only about two time-lapsed minutes of the Alex Pretti memorial ride in Minneapolis today. I'd guess there were at least 5x more people there than this, and probably significantly more than that. Absolutely mind blowing love and support showing up on bikes today.
