ASHEcon is seeking members to join the Scientific Review Committee in the peer review of abstracts submitted for consideration for the 2026 ASHEcon conference as the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, MN. Abstract reviews will take place in Dec 2025 and Jan 2026 . Deadline Dec 10th.
Among the 1st studies to leverage patient-level data to examine heterogeneity in responses to Med Cannabis Laws, documntng how all affected but also revealing stronger declines for the extensive margin among cancer, and Black patients & smaller effects among ynger & Asian pts.
The paper also provides a how-to guide for case study synthetic control estimation to explore ATTs across various units and outcomes. It provides detailed discussions about steps to evaluate the quality and the plausibility of the assumptions underlying the methodology (2/3).
Med cannabis law adoption induces sustained reductions in pain-medication use, esp opioids, among commercially insured patients. On avg, patients prescribed opioids drop by over 100 per 10,000 enrollees qrtrly within 4 yrs after policy adoption.(1/3)
