Literally all I buy on Amazon is cat treats, because cat will cat and only eats specific treats not available anywhere near where I live. Can confirm they're like double the price of 2-3 years ago.

And this removes the possibility that Jones or someone from his company tries to revive the brand again due to "disuse" in the future. The last thing you want is a right-wing revival of the brand.

I get the desire to not ever hear from InfoWars again, but making it a pariah will almost certainly prove more effective than pretending it doesn't exist. Especially since the money from the sale can go to the actual victims he hurt versus just nothing happening for them.

Famously, burying your head in the sand and ignoring problems is the best way to fight fascism. Wait, no, that's bullshit.

Mock them. Belittle them. Tell them they're fools. They cannot *stand* being ridiculed, drives them insane. And if anyone deserves to suffer it's Alex Jones.

And if you do it you will never be set free, because even the fucked up world of Disco Elysium still has a better justice system than the US does.

Preferential medical treatment, using their stalking technology for medical procedures, maybe some eugenics; normal fascist pre-genocide stuff.

The fact that all her popularity was in the first 3-4 weeks and then they took that momentum and did nothing with it was embarrassing. The Democratic convention in Chicago was such a shit show, and it was all "we're just a little to the left of Trump, we promise" from there.

Seriously; would it kill the Democrats to find a candidate that isn't pro militarism already?

Choosing to fund the military and the police over condemning the Gaza genocide or doing anything remotely progressive is why Temu MAGA lost to OG MAGA. Try again.

Before you ask; I still voted for Temu MAGA, because I know how our fucked up country works. But god, we needed so much better.

That's the fucking point of midterms; to vote on who you think is fit for office. You're allowed to judge people for their actions and behavior, including warmongering. If you think politics *aren't* about image, you're insane.

All you do is repost identity politics. To each their own, but yelling at a mirror is loser shit.

Sorry for the ramble. I had an extra 90 minutes of free time with nothing but my phone yesterday, and killed a good portion of it tracking the storm patterns. ๐Ÿ˜…

Finally, there was an actual tornado over near Lena (Stephenson County, west of Rockford) about an hour before all this. While nowhere near Metra the fact that the weather was definitely bad enough to produce at least one tornado meant another was a real possibility.

...there was a real concern a tornado might touch down, and winds in places where estimated to be approaching 60 MPH. Metra, in an abundance of caution and/or avoiding liability, chose to play it safe versus take a train into a place with a possible chance of the train being knocked off the track.

Per my weather app; tornado warning was from 8:45 to 9:15, due to a storm was moving Northeast across Northern Illinois passing over Palatine, Crystal Lake, and Lake on the Hills, among others. While the conductor appeared to have confused "there are funnel clouds" with "there's a tornado"

Roads blocked leading to at least one village (Lena, up by Rockford) blocked entirely (though it should be cleared by tomorrow), and a lot of trees down. By me at *redacted* there's water in every yard. No casualties I've heard of so far but it's also late.

Some tornadoes touched down, and some really nasty storms with high wind and flooding North of Chicago. The Trump part was just me mocking him for being a petty piece of shit for denying all our other disaster aid requests the last 16 months.

Per the conductor on board a tornado was spotted near Elmhurst/Addison and is headed towards us (train stopped at Cumberland). Unsure how close it will get before dispersing.

Heard a rumor that Trump is already at his phone excited waiting for Illinois to request aid so he can immediately deny it.

I think this every day before I go to bed. You should too!

Pet peeve; companies who refuse to optimize their websites for mobile because "we have an app". I don't *want* your app, I have a mobile web browser.

But the toys! No one wants to buy an old man Luke toy, we need young and attractive humans for the toys! That's the Disney way.

Not me. I just avoid paying for a doctor's visit the old-fashioned way; by toughing it out and wondering why everything already hurts at 30.

Yep, like I said it's not a one to one. It just reminded me of how in America everything can be sold; even other people doing math for you.

When my family was on food stamps I had to count how much all the food I was buying cost as I put it in the cart to not go over what was on the card. It's not the same, but the analogy of "not being able to afford someone else counting for you" is what brought it to mind.

I draw the line at dog house, maybe camper (as long as it's not a camper that costs more than an affordable home).

The same week the NYTimes was devoting its significant resources to producing this ridiculous piece about Lauren Sanchez Bezos's call for rich people to not worry and be happy, Ryan Hass, an independent journalist in Oregon, was investigating this horrifying story about a death in an Amazon plant.
