I submitted at 4 pm so I can spend tomorrow starting the reading and assignments for the last 2 weeks of the course tomorrow. But tonight I drink rum and watch TV. Hope you get yours done!

Yeah I have up at 130 am with 3 subsections to go and was already 4 pages over. Currently about to soak in the tub to reset my brain. I break my back on my rough drafts so it never takes me TOO long after I get that hurdle down but dammit I hate taking stuff out that's good. You good?

It's actually not long but its super complex and keeping it under the page length of 7-8 will be the challenge. It's comparing 2 research methodological approaches to a possible doctoral research study and justifying which is the best approach but there's tons of parts & a SHORT length requirement

I had to go to 3 gas stations coming home from the sticks last week because the first 2 stations had no gas. Thought I was going to be the dumb white lady who ran outta gas in the horror movie for a few minutes there.

My advanced qualitative course is the same. I'm currently procrastinating from doing the second half of this rough draft of the paper that's due Sunday. I really wanna finish the RD tonight and then just clean it up and submit it tomorrow but it's so hard and boring.

I'm with you there. Paper is due Sunday I started it at 7 pm. I'm about 60% through with a rough draft.

From North Carolina with my mom to immediately going to St Louis for a work conference. 2 first time destinations and a lot of fresh air but I can't wait to be in my own bed tomorrow night.

I could do dinner or drinks on the 7th if you need a local! The 8-10th I have to go to St Louis for a conference. Or next time you come through! Always willing to show off the city.

3. I'm actually glad it isn't a write as you go program because I'm being forced to learn a lot about many types of methodologies. But man I'm jealous of everyone around me finishing their write as you go programs.

2.I know what I WANT to do but all these unrelated assignments in all these courses keep me too busy to ensure there's enough of a gap in the literature to ensure I'll be able to pursue it. I'm in a traditional program and can't start until my courses are over and comps passed. Not write as you go

Lol yeah. I've got 2 courses left &the prob for me is that until you get a dissertation proposal approved all you REALLY have is a 'topic that you hope you don't need to change too much'.

Keep seeing all those 'dissertation defended' posts cuz it's that time of year & meanwhile I'm here fighting for my life crawling through my last 2 semesters of courses before I start mine. Kinda regretting doing a trad. PhD rather than write as you go but am seeing the mountaintop now at least

I find this just as I am waking up from my third nap taken to avoid the reading I need to do right now as I'm entering week 7 of an 8 week course that I don't love.

Lol prescription ibuprofen and imitex for me. Have you tried that navage sinus machine? It's been a game changer for me.

For me it's sinus pressure releasing. In the cold the liquids in my sinuses can freeze and swell and the ones close to the ear canal put pressure behind my eye which triggers my headaches.
