There are many more people to thank but that is what a graduation speech is for!

For now, I am back to work to defend the dissertation, full of gratitude and with so much excitement to return to Philadelphia in this way.

I am indebted to the best group of people that supported me @uwbusiness.bsky.social and @uwmadison.bsky.social, specifically my dissertation committee: Ty Leverty, @justinsydnor.bsky.social, Joan Schmit, Anita Mukherjee, and Jeff Smith. If you know them, you know just how fortunate I am.

I am thrilled and honored to return to the same department I graduated from almost six years ago. The academic job market process is a whirlwind, and I am so grateful to everyone I encountered at each school/department I visited.

I am so excited to share a major professional update: I am headed back to Broad Street! Once I defend my PhD in May, I will join the Fox School of Business @temple.edu as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Risk, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Management, and Legal Studies.
