Sam Kieth's impact on comics is immeasurable. Also, one of the first artists Lisa ever experienced via Sandman. And Kieth's work on Marvel Comics Presents & The Maxx challenged & eventually shaped Brad's taste. We've lost a titan today, but he leaves behind a nearly endless swath of brilliant books.

Sam Kieth did not bend for comics. Comics bent to him. I won't call his manner of drawing merely a style because that implies some level of artifice. Maybe not since Kirby had mainstream comics seen an artist with less filter between his imagination and the printed page.
