Yes! I read too many political books and follow too much real world chaos, my fiction needs to be a cozy escape that still has a mystery to solve! I was a civil engineer in the public sector but am home with my kids for a bit and am sure glad I got out of the public sector when I did!!

I struggle with anxiety but my mind still needs to solve mysteries when I read without it ending up with me checking behind my shower curtain for murderers every day. 😂 So cozy mysteries it is. I may have always been this way. I loved watching Matlock and Diagnosis Murder as a child lol.

Agree. Yes I’d prefer we do things like tax the rich and provide healthcare that is not tied to employment (speaking as someone who was a child of poverty). But we haven’t been electing the majorities to do that, so this is something we can actually do on our own.

I learned everything I needed to know about SW when I worked as an engineer at WisDOT. First, notifying us of intent to eliminate our unions and changing our healthcare/pensions by sending us an email on Friday afternoon. (Whatever you think of Act 10, a Friday afternoon email was a shit move.)
