UPDATE 830AM: Crews just sent these photos of NB I-5 south of Bellingham where all lanes remain closed due to slide activity. Geotechs will be on site this AM.

Roughly 2-3000 cubic yards of material is blocking the road. For context, the avg. WSDOT dump truck carries 16 yards.

UPDATE 11:35PM: NB I-5 will remain closed overnight after slides south of Bellingham. All NB traffic will divert off at N Lake Samish Rd (exit 246), which is not suitable for freight traffic.

Our geotechnical engineers have been advised & likely will evaluate the area in the AM.
