Permanent standard time would be a good decision. Permanent daylight time will be a nightmare in winter. More importantly, it was already rejected by voters in a referendum.
Governing by referendum is not a great idea for most issues, but it's even worse to govern by the opposite of the results.

As the data shows, cutting back on delivery services loses more revenue than it saves expenses. They should only stop daily delivery if they want to dig the financial hole deeper.
If you want reforms to be successful, they have to be more focused on investing in services to generate revenue.

Especially when gas prices are through the roof due to our fossil fuel dependence, it feels like the time is ripe for, "Wouldn't it be great if we had more alternatives?" to resonate with the average Joe.

Winning an election in Alberta always relies on building coalitions. But it is fascinating to me how it is typically assumed that the pipeline-loving demographic of the coalition is bigger than the pipeline-disliking demographic, or that it is even viable or advisable to court that demographic
