A forest green sweater on a dress form by a window. The sweater is missing seams and the neckband. It has a leaf-shaped lace pattern down a panel in the front.

#wipwednesday progress on my Wild Ivy sweater by @woolandpine.bsky.social
Need to figure out how long I want to make the sleeves and then do the neckline. Might be too heavy to wear until fall, as our spring has been much warmer than usual. #knitsky 🧶

This is the Jupiter Crop by @boylandknitworks.bsky.social if anyone wants to check out the pattern to see what I mean. I’m trying to find a color that works for the rust sections.

Unfortunately the dark teal and light teal look very good together but don’t touch each other in the pattern. All the CCs only touch the MC, the dark grey. It’s the dark teal against the dark grey that doesn’t have enough contrast.

Here’s what the dark teal looks like with it so far. The section has more detail than the other colored sections (they look like feathers) and I’m afraid that detail would just get lost. 😞

Colorwork sweater in progress lying next to color sample of the yarn. I have the dark teal I was going to use, but it is too close to the dark grey of the background color and doesn’t show up well. I don’t necessarily want the next color to be the main focus of the sweater, since I was hoping for only teals. So I was maybe thinking the purple laying on top of the grey skein next to the teal. But maybe that is also too dark, in which case the lighter purplish-pink below it might be an option. But will that stand out TOO much? I’m half tempted to keep going with the dark teal and have it just not contrast much.

Got my new skein and I don’t think it will work either. It’s too similar to color 3. Forgot I had these color samples, so trying to figure this out again. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s another teal that will work. Having a hard time deciding. More info in the alt text. #knitsky 🧶 Opinions?

Synchronized for sure. I find TAAT to be too fiddly, but definitely can’t do one at a time or the second won’t be cast on.

No pattern…Just use your favorite vanilla sock pattern, but I alternated single-row stripes of 2 different colors in the main part of the sock.

Another sweater cast on, this time the Jupiter Crop by @boylandknitworks.bsky.social
It’s temporarily on hold, though, because my 5th color was too close to the main dark grey and didn’t contrast well. Waiting for some yarn mail before I can pick it back up again. Yarn by Quince & Co. #knitsky 🧶

Me wearing a freshly finished knit top. It has a MC of a very deep blue and a variegated CC with mostly mauves and pale greens. The top has a star pattern throughout made with the MC and has capped sleeves.

Finished my Thistle Thorn Tee and it came out perfect! I can’t believe there was no pooling at all! Great top for this warmer-than-normal Spring. #knitsky 🧶

Thanks! I thought the yellow was a little too bright for me, but I love how the stripes have muted it ☺️

That yarn and pattern go so well together! ♥️

Cuff-down socks in progress on wooden sock blockers. The blockers have a floral cut out pattern on them. The socks have bright yellow cuffs and heels. The rest of the socks are knit with single-row stripes of the yellow and a very light green yarn with pink speckles. The result is a much more muted overall color. One sock is knit almost to the toe, while the other is just past the gusset.

Thank you, that’s very nice of you to say! I wasn’t a fan of the stripes either, but I thought a variegated yarn would work well, and luckily I didn’t have any pooling.

Most of a knit tee on a mannequin. It is a cropped tee with a textured pattern of a deep dark grey and a variegated yarn with mostly mauves and light greens. The front is completely knit. The back still needs to be knit from the arm split up.

#wipwednesday Getting sooo close to finishing my short-sleeve Thistle Thorn! Just the back shoulders and ribbing for the neckline and sleeves left. I’m actually going to finish a garment in the season when I can wear it. 🎉 😂 #knitsky 🧶

How the SAVE Act Advances a Hidden Agenda Old ideas about women and voting are showing up around the SAVE Act fight

The SAVE Act is not about preventing non-citizens from voting, and is more about preventing the “wrong” citizens from voting.

This pattern collection was released today in both toe-up and cuff-down versions. The collection has 3 different socks patterns that are an easy step up from vanilla socks. 🧶
