So the second most blocked user on Bluesky… is an account created by the Bluesky team themselves?
Ah, of course. It’s AI.
You’d think they might’ve seen that coming 🙂

A section called “Your interests”, displaying selected topics: • Journalism • News • Tech • A blue “Edit interests” button. • Below that, a ranked list of trending topics, each with post counts and categories: 1. Caturday (marked Hot) – 688 posts 2. BMovieManiacs – 756 posts (Entertainment) 3. Classic Horror – 1.3K posts (Entertainment) 4. The Last Drive In – 2.5K posts (Entertainment) 5. House On Haunted Hill – 433 posts (Entertainment)
So… what’s the point of listing my interests if Explore just ignores them? 🤦🏻♂️

Had some free time this week and finished the beta of Blueshout 🎧
It reads posts from people you follow on Bluesky, so you can listen while driving, running, or working — no scrolling, no reading.
Want to test it? Send me a DM.
I’m not mad that blocks are public. Actually I like. 😁 I’m against people—well-intentioned or not—curating blocklists that decide for others who to block. Blocking should be a personal choice, not something outsourced or driven by someone else’s opinions. Your feed, your call. That’s all 😊
No problem at all. I suggest you do the same as me; I don't follow anyone on impulse. Look at at least 10 of the person's posts. This will prevent slip-ups like this. Have a great day. 😊👍
And by the way, telling someone what they should or shouldn’t post is none of my business — or yours. People need to mind their own timelines, not others’. If you don’t like what someone posts, just unfollow or block them and move on. It’s really that simple.
Some people only post what others want to hear — not what they truly think. It’s the same mindset as those who rely on block lists or mimic others just to stay liked and avoid conflict. That’s not authenticity, it’s self-censorship disguised as virtue.
It seems you follow me, so you must see what I post. If someone doesn’t like my content, they can unfollow or block me — no problem. What bothers me is when people can’t think for themselves and rely on someone else’s list to decide who to block.
It’s utopian to celebrate 40 million registered users while ignoring the thousands who’ve quietly stopped using Bluesky. Just look at the daily post volume — the numbers tell a very different story.
The public block lists on Bluesky are one of the worst ideas ever introduced. Whoever created and keeps maintaining them is just fueling the exodus of users who are tired of the platform’s hostility. It’s driving people away, not keeping them safe.
Guess I’ll have to add a “Top Disliked” section on VQV now. 😅🤦🏻♂️
I was just quietly minding my own business, letting the site run automatically — not bothering anyone.
Thanks for the amazing motivation, Bluesky team. Really appreciate it. 😉 🤦🏻♂️
We already live in an environment where people block you for stepping slightly out of line—or even mentioning “AI.” The best way to avoid content is to unfollow or block. Using dislikes to “teach” the system feels redundant. I’d rather support creators, not punish them.
“As users ‘dislike’ posts, the system will learn what content they want less of.”
Not always. I might dislike how something was written, not the topic itself. I don’t want to live in a bubble where every post agrees with me—different views make social media worth it.
I missed the meeting where it was discussed that Dislike is a priority at Bsky. Could someone provide an update on that meeting and also explain why it's a good idea? 😳😬

The image is a screenshot from the vqv.app website showing real-time Bluesky network statistics in a dark-mode dashboard layout. Description: • Header: The top bar shows the site name vqv.app and the section title Bluesky Stats alongside a blue globe-and-butterfly logo. There’s also a sun/moon icon indicating a light/dark mode toggle and a menu icon. • Main Metric: The central figure displays “40,001,947” in large yellow numbers — representing the current number of users on Bluesky
I woke up and it was already 40M 😃🥳🥂🍾 vqv.app/stats/
🌤️✨ On 04/20/23 — just 9 days after I joined Bluesky — I dropped the word Skymates to describe fellow users.
Probably didn’t invent it, but I definitely used it a lot in my posts 😁
Not followers. Not mutuals. Skymates.
Still proud of that little spark.

I need to adjust the icons that appear on the screen. When I have some free time, I work on it. 😬😁
There's a player control. You can pause the text or speed it up. The player is located at the bottom of the screen and appears when you tap the screen on a smartphone. On desktop, it appears by default. You can also choose the theme colors in the settings.
My new project. Please share it:

Marketing tip for Bluesky: Announce that at 50M users, the gates close. After that, it’s invite-only. Watch the panic rise, the sign-ups spike, and the daily invite hunt begin. It’ll be like Black Friday but with invites code. Follow me for more spicy strategies. #BlueskyRush 😎
Test without logs. Only audio from users you follow, list or trending. #blueshout #bluesky
🎧 Blueshout lets you listen to the latest posts from people you follow on Bluesky—perfect for staying updated while running, driving, or at the gym. No scrolling, just streaming. It’s for news junkies, busy bees, and anyone who wants to stay in the loop while on the move.
Coming soon! #Blueshout

In this video, you don’t know where to look—Keith Richards’ intro, Sheryl Crow, Mick Jagger, or Ronnie Wood. That’s way too much talent packed into just 5 minutes. youtu.be/nMIfJdDvg5s?...
Anyone who saw this show live should’ve been forced to rip up their ticket, walk back to the gate, and pay all over again. That’s how good it was. youtu.be/F3Fh6pS8UOs?...
