This is stupid. Salt is also a preservative, but it's not being added to foods just to preserve them, it's for the taste. Same with this lawsuit. Sodium phosphate and carrageenan are added to make it more tender and retain juices, not as a preservative.

"Remigration" is just a fancy way of saying banishment.
Ukraine's new extensive border fortifications will hopefully be an inspiration to Canada. They should also pre-position fiber-optic drones with a 40+km range in tactically important places like near Ft. Drum (thousands of targets) and Niagra Falls Air Reserve (both have reaper drone bases)
Or go malicious compliance! Get a backpack and cut off the straps and replace them with some paracord. 😂
You could use this as an opportunity for a fun weekend art project with her. Get some cool fabric and make one, and get some awesome patches and buttons and pins and stuff. Maybe even sew on some pockets to make it more of a backpack with a drawstring top.
This is a super useful map to find out what active hate groups are in your area. Feel free to try to infiltrate or monitor for counter-protest purposes! Courtesy of the Southern Poverty Law Center
They forgot one of my favorites... 45 minutes (10 hour version available too!) of Nick Offerman just staring at you while drinking whiskey.
Even a regular podcast update makes me feel "Uggh, I don't have time for this but I have to listen because I never miss an episode"... when they drop an unrelated episode it feels even more stressful because the people I silently pledged to pay attention to are now saying to pay attention to others.
I always struggled with a good gender neutral group pronoun. I alternate between "y'all" (I am originally from Texas) and "comrades". I do like using "comrade" as a catch-all pronoun when I'm unsure of or worry that I've forgotten someones personal preference.
Agnes Obel is amazing!

Considering Mark Zuckerberg just dined at Mar-A-Lago and metaphorically "kissed the ring" of Trump, I don't have much expectation that FB will turn into a sane platform anytime soon.

The labels aren't exhaustive at the moment, but it's not a bad start!
One of the best things I bought in the last few years was a set of wireless temperature sensors I keep in my fridge and freezer, with a temperature display magnetically stuck to the front of the fridge. It's astonishing how many people don't adjust their fridge temp right! (35f fridge, 0f freezer)
Dude, someone on your staff has mad LEGO skills. Very cool 🙂
I think one of the things that I love the most is how realistic it is... not just how the protagonist and her cousin have to travel, but how almost every man in their orbit hits on them. Old, young, boss, step dad, etc.
Just watched the 2020 movie "Never Rarely Sometimes Always" - Amazing film about a teen who can't get an abortion in her area who has to travel out of state. Really moving and a good thing to show anyone who thinks that "State Rights" are more important than a woman's access to healthcare.
It's frustrating to see so many MAGA people whine that people don't want to have Thanksgiving with them. That "we can disagree and still be friends." What they don't realize is that we don't WANT to be friends with bigots (or who support bigots). They offer nothing that I value in a relationship.

I love The Onion so much. Always has the pulse of reality... I actually spend money to subscribe to the resurgence of the print edition
It is gross... but it's because "ladyboy" is strongly associated with trans Filipinos who are sex workers... once again, some people keep conflating trans folk's mere existence as being something inherently sexual.
Good to see you here... way too many Russian bots and sympathizers over on Twitter.

It's extremely concerning to me that so may people who have strong connections to Russia, including our president, are being put into positions of power.
For my non-binary and trans friends suffering under oppressive governments or required to do the work themselves, check out HRTCafe - When a doctor or government won't help you transition, sometimes you have to just roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself.

There is a great recurring bit on the cartoon American Dad, where the family watches "Morning Mimosa" - Basically that concept. It's always hilarious and has made me wish that it was a real thing.
