Went to the local authors fair at the Jacksonville Library, found the journal that published โArrangementsโ for sale, complete with my last name misspelled. ๐
Pretty cool, man. ๐

Happy #NationalLibrarianDay. ๐
Shall we be dragged by him to the bottom of the sea? Shall we be towed by him to the infernal world?
Submitted a short essay in November.
Got a response in the affirmative with suggested edits...today. ๐
Tried to be chill about it, but it always just makes me happy, man.
We're getting ready to celebrate #NationalLibraryWeek next week, and what better way to celebrate than with food (and books)?

Here's the second image taken by the Artemis II crew.
The whole world, in a window.

Recently, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library celebrated a momentous milestone in Oregon: 4 million books distributed to young children across the state.
Two JCLS staffers who have their own children enrolled in the program would like to say thank you.
I wish the early 1900s news story aesthetic would make a comeback.
Me at Barnes & Noble tomorrow.
We loved spending the evening with you and "Remarkably Bright Creatures" author Shelby Van Pelt, JCLS patrons.
Let's do it again soon sometime. ๐๐๐ฉต
Mike was always extraordinarily kind in our handful of interactions. On the day the Almeda fire happened, my family had to evacuate. I will never forget his message to me: โStay safe, Pfeil family.โ
Four words, but they really meant a lot that day. Rest in peace, Mike.

Recently finished Steven Johnsonโs โThe Infernal Machineโ and am working my way through Lloyd Clarkโs โAnzioโ and Daniel James Brownโs โUnder A Flaming Sky.โ Been a great stretch for very good nonfiction lately.
