I like green-haired Terra Branford of Final Fantasy VI best, and I wish that Square Enix treated her like the canon version instead of the blonde Terra in a mostly blonde cast of characters. The green hair sets Terra apart, which makes sense because she is different from everyone else in that world.
I might be making assumptions based on my personal experiences, but this is the scenario I see in my head.
Love when the chattiest people meet up specifically in the area where you need to do all of your work when they could do nothing literally anywhere else.
Clive Barker's Undying. Insane game. I feel like it deserves a modern port. Too bad that it is EA.
RE9 spoiler. It was generous of Leon to give his best gun to this twiggy woman who could dislocate her entire shoulder from firing it. Heavy burden to bear for someone who never considered that she could just simply parry the head-devouring monster rather than allow herself to be eaten. Silly lady.
Anyway, it is nice to get yet another really good Resident Evil game. This series just keeps hitting lately, and Capcom just needs to keep doing whatever it is doing.
Anyway, getting into really spoilery Resident Evil Requiem stuff, I think that it was really smart to save most of Leon's sections for the back half of the game. You have to build Grace up, but Leon already feels really powerful, even with a limited arsenal, and he only gets stronger.
RE0 tried the simultaneous dual narrative, but with that, you have to consider that whoever is not in control is usually standing devoid of life while the other does all the work. RE Revelations series got a little messy with its approach. A step in the right direction but still all over the place.
I have to say the dual narratives worked better than their first attempts at it. I know that it was the limitation of technology back in the day, but it was nice to see a solid timeline as compared to the past game's stories of two characters in the same building just barely missing each other.
The types of monsters Leon and Grace took on made sense for their narratives. They each have their own way of dealing with the same problems, but they also have enemies tailor made for them. Give Grace one of the scariest RE abominations yet to sneak around. Give Leon all the things to shoot. Logic.
The best part of the dual narrative is how the characters distinctly.with the same controls. I did third-person for both. Watching Grace stumble around from fear and tremble as she aims her gun gave her play style personality. Even everything about how she handles Requiem is different from Leon.
Got the platinum in Resident Evil Requiem. Excellent game. Slight spoilers, but it reminded me a lot of RE4, except the blonde girl Leon is trying to save can mostly handle herself. I am glad that it never became a huge escort mission. The one time it did, Grace had a really good excuse: Emily.
I wish that there were more games like Ghost Trick.
Exact same thought crossed my mind.
And as much as you might be pleasant and keep to yourself, there is always someone who will relay a perceived slight or misgiving to the worst possible person, just to start something. The worst part of never gossiping is that no one hears your side, so you never have control of the narrative.
I try to reduce the amount of talking I do at work for this exact reason. I do not want to deal with the potential drama, but people always seem eager to twist words and get upset about something. I just want to do the work, get through the day, and clock out. Nothing is worth all the pettiness.
For these Zelda playthroughs, I mostly stuck with the original versions, with the exception of ports and Link's Awakening DX. My brother asked me if I was going to do the spin-offs and remasters next. I am considering it, but I am going to take a good, long break before getting into that.
This is not my first time playing through any of the Zelda games. I do not talk about it as much as I do Xenoblade lately, but The Legend of Zelda is my favorite video game series. This marathon of the series has reinvigorated my love for these games. I am excited for what comes next.
I had a goal of playing through all 21 mainline Zelda games this year to celebrate the 40th anniversary. I started back in the middle of January, and I just completed the final one with Echoes of Wisdom. I have most of them memorized front to back, so it did not take as long as I thought it would.
The production values of most of the anime are not great, but the story and characters carry you through the experience despite that. The manga is better for the art, which is insanely good, but I enjoy it either way.
I have been on this ride since episode one of the anime. Leave me out of this.
Badly explained anime synopsis: The typical struggles of teens and young adults are manifesting supernatural phenomena, explained through easily understood analogies with quantum mechanics and theoretical physics.
Badly explained anime synopsis: A paraplegic man follows a mysterious Italian man across the United States so that he can touch the guy's balls.
I often think about the Quintet SNES games and wonder why they are not available on modern consoles. Terranigma was the crown jewel of all those games, as far as I am concerned.
Alois definitely had a period when he thought Skibidi Toilet was the most hilarious shit ever.
I want to listen and make everyone around me feel heard and understood. I want to be a better communicator. But I am so bad at reading people sometimes, so I am not sure that I am any good at that.
Happy birthday. The balloons are with us in spirit.
I always dealt with the same struggle of convincing people that April 1st is my birthday. No one born on any other day of the year has to put up with this nonsense.
April Fools deserve nice things.
