Travel to places where others are doing similar work? It can be so liberating to see other practices/communities in action (even in an oppositional way) and this is one of the things it can be so hard to make time/resources for during a normal working year.

For contrast - in the early 2000s I had an idea a small creative team in Houston, TX helped make happen: we persuaded all the local Starbucks to display a different school kid’s poem by the cash register everyday during April (National Poetry Month here in the U.S.). People loved it. Now this 😔

Large bald eagle’s nest high up in a bare tree above the Florida scrub. To the left an adult bald eagle is perched on the top of a smaller tree and nearby is a young bald eagle of similar size but no white head yet
Had a great visit with @stacyparkerlemelle.bsky.social in Marco Island yesterday Our exploring brought us by this amazing bald eagle’s nest. A local photographer was there & said the hatchling (left center, solid brown) was only 10 weeks old and now it and the adult (right) are nearly the same size.

Interesting to read a bit of your time in England. I often hear “dire” as a particularly English word for some reason (which seems to take on almost two syllables in sporting contexts for exasperated fans). Sorry it’s such a slog for Spurs right now. “The only way out is through” cliche seems apt?
