And we, the American tax payers, are paying for all of these court cases.

This only works if people always use technology, and never mistype when using it. Without any foundational skills, a mistype would mean that they wouldn’t have any understanding that their “answer “ might be totally wrong. Or am I misunderstanding your post?

Apparently this is the type of graph I teach my middle schoolers. 😁
I honestly wonder if it would impact student attendance for these secondary students to have a class on finance and other skills they say they want to learn. Many of the classes students take may not directly align to their future careers but that doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t valuable.

A high school math teacher posed a historically impossible-to-answer question to her students. St. Mary’s Michelle Blouin Williams says she didn’t expect anyone to solve it, but two students made history when they did. cbsn.ws/3WAmpYu
Thanks to pressure from educators and parents, the nearly $7 billion in school funding withheld by Trump has finally been released.
Unfortunately, this reckless delay undermined planning, staffing, and support services at a time when schools should be focused on preparing students for success.

What a pleasure it is to gavel in the 2025 #NEARA with my fan!
This year, it is all about our resilience.
As Audre Lorde says, "we have learned to draw strength on one another."
That's what NEA is about.

I really thought that she did such a great job explaining her concerns. I hope that her son isn’t impacted by what is going on in DC.
Libraries are vital, providing access to information, technology, and learning. Cutting IMLS funding threatens these services, especially in underserved areas. Library funding isn’t political—it’s an investment in education, opportunity, and civic engagement. #LibraryLove #ForOurLibraries ala.org
Since day one, I've said education is the foundation for our success as a state.
Donald Trump is failing not only our students but our state — and I’m not going to stand for it and neither will the Illinois Education Association.
Rest assured, we’ll use every tool to fight back.
Thank you, @govpritzker.illinois.gov , for an energizing speech to start the @ieanea.bsky.social Regional Assembly today!

Come up with a naming convention and use it to label every digital file and piece of paper. (C2.1-4 means course 2, ch 1, lesson 4.) This is really helpful for me b/c I teach multiple preps.
In the classroom: Have a labeled places for items students use. (A HW turn in bin, a cup for pencils, etc.)
I didn’t learn it this way either in school but it is the way we teach it at my middle school. Some of my first generation students from European countries have said that their parents learned it this way when they were in school in their home countries. It is a good method!

Me: I'm a math teacher.
Them: Oh, I hated math in school. Also, what's with this new way of teaching math? Why don't they just teach it the way we were taught?
Me:
The department tracks student achievement, manages college financial aid and sends K-12 schools money to support students with disabilities and lower-income communities, among other things.
Although it is scary, I think one of the best things you can do is be on your own teaching (& handling discipline) during student teaching. Then you have your cooperating teacher there to debrief. Also: Find your support network—in person or online. We all need help at times!
Breaking News: Staffing at Reagan National Airport’s control tower was “not normal” during the deadly plane crash in Washington, an internal FAA report said.
Two days ago, President Trump authorized ICE and CBP to target sensitive locations like schools and churches. Today, ICE tried to enter a Chicago elementary school but was denied entry. The admin's goal is to sow fear and chaos, even for innocent children. We must protect them.
