Elections Ontario currently has voter turnout at 45.40% - so the second lowest voter turnout in an Ontario provincial election. (The lowest was 2022.)
I really wish I knew whether it would be best to consolidate my federal vote under the Libs or NDP locally… seems we should be comparing notes ahead of that fateful day

Every day I thank my luckiest goddamn stars that the Canadian election wasn't held before the US election.
Trump winning, and the threats to our sovereignty, were a massive wake up call for Canadians. Some folks are still stuck in the fascist-disinformation bubble, but the rest of us are ACTIVATED.

I’m using an AI LLM for the 1st time (January-now) and I’ve used it for a range of things, incl. research for my job. As someone with grad edu, I find the errors aren’t inherently obvious to avg ppl; u have to still dbl check the sources match the info. But it’s been more amazing than I thought!!
If you thought it wasn’t possible—well, here we are. Musk pulled $80 million in funding authorized by Congress straight from NYC’s bank account. The federal government took the funds and called it a “clawback” of taxpayer money. A lot of others would simply call it stealing.
So, is it safe to say @bsky.app is the future of social media yet? Cus I’ve been here for ~3 weeks, my mental health rebounded 5x from constructive discussion as a viable alternative to FB/X, and… well frankly, I had a dream last week that @mcuban.bsky.social and I were hanging out. 🤭
My patriotism is higher than in many recent years. In addition to these things, when I see our flag I’m also reminded that #everychildmatters. We must move forward, together.

Ugh, I’ve been staying logged out of Facebook as much as poss for this reason.
I’m similarly irked by this simplistic thought process, because we would never ‘become’ a state, but if that wasn’t assanine in and of itself, we’d be more like 51st through 63rd.
