The #Artemis II livestream continues to be the best thing on the internet. 😍

Pope Leo XIV carried the cross across all fourteen stations for over an hour.
The prayers named children who had been “taken away and imprisoned during protests, deported by policies devoid of compassion, shipwrecked on desperate journeys of hope, killed in war zones, and wiped out in death camps.”
Texts are just phone emails, man. Another thing to keep up with.
Happy birthday to us 🥳
Before a crew of us reinvent the wheel, does anyone know of a direct action personal risk assessment tool specific to school workers? 💛

I read a lot of Stephen King in grade school.
Ramadan has officially ended. Eid Mubarak! Hoping that we take the lessons of Ramadan into the year and that we offer more compassion to each other and commit to lessening suffering how we can.
May 10, 2020 Dear Mama, Here we are in the midst of a pandemic and still... Still there is sleep & washing up & brushing our teeth before bed. Still there is fruit & yoghurt & salads & bread & cheese & beans & chicken. Still there is coffee & tea & kombucha & wine & plenty of clean water (for us). Still there are books & music & magazines & emails & essays & letters & poems & films. Still there is heartbreak (of course) & tragedy (of course) & anger (of course). Still there is the big hill at Mt. Tabor & flowers, so many flowers. Still there is work—yours, mine, ours. Still there is the sun, rising a little earlier each morning, & setting a little later each evening. Still there is the rain, reminding us of our place. Still there is your downstairs, & our upstairs, & all the places we meet in the middle. Still there is me, your daughter, & me, a mother. And still, thank God, there is you- my mother- anchoring this whole endeavor, this whole undertaking, this whole life, even in the midst of a pandemic. Happy Mother's Day, Mama. Your girl, Urs

HELLO, FRIENDS!
The women's shelter where I volunteer lost almost all of their art and craft supplies last year. I can't fix everything, but I have a big network here, and so do a lot of you, and I'm pretty sure that together, we can fix this.

They sang “American Idiot”
“Oh, did a sportsball happen?” I whisper smugly from my vantage point on a distant cliff, the sounds of celebration in the village far below just barely audible over the lonely wind whipping my tattered cloak

I’ve never been prouder to be a Minnesotan.
Pope Leo’s top U.S. ally — Cardinal Joseph Tobin — calls on Congress to defund ICE.
I personally don't tell people who have been fighting their hearts out daily for weeks not to celebrate wins of any size. I certainly don't do that when I've been nowhere near the place where the fight has been happening and have done little more than make some donations from miles away.
