Am running a game for 7yo and a friend with a *much* shorter attention span. Last session we took breaks to compose poem prophecies, make maps, and go on a walk to meet a druid friend. I have never LARPed and was wondering if there’s a guide/ideas/best practices for LARPing with @ttrpgkids.com?
If you do a more rigid LARP (dress up but still stand in squares, track points, etc), I've heard of it running into some of the same issues as needing to sit at a table, but it will likely depend on the player. I think flexibility and throwing in some random is still key. Hope that helps!

Making maps is another GREAT one! I like to get a dollar store roll of wrapping paper, turn it over to the grid side, and use that as a giant expanding group map and doodle space.

I'll have players act out scenes (like jumping over pillows to be an obstacle course) or kick of more in-depth discussions (like having the group decide a collective PC's or an NPC's actions together and explain why) to help with engagement and create some variety (and learning xp).
