Part of the reason why I moved to HEMA, is actual swordfighting instead of what is essentially sword tag (though still sportified in some ways depending on what club or tournament you are at).

“Casualty Cover-Up”: The Pentagon Is Hiding U.S. Losses Under Trump in the Middle East The Pentagon has sent outdated statements on the number of U.S. troops killed or wounded during the Iran War, resulting in undercounts.

The Intercept is claiming that upwards of 750 casualties have occurred in the Iran war, and the Pentagon is covering it up.

I have only played the Pragmata demo and not the full game, but it was very clear even from that small slice it has the juice. Novel combat, entertaining character interactions, a real sense of style. Looking forward to digging into it this week.

I've also seen a cyber truck covered in what I can only describe as crypto shit. For some reason Colorado is a magnet for bad cybertrucks

Yakuza Developer's Next Game Looks To Be Yakuza After All It may not have Yakuza (or Like A Dragon) in the title, but the latest trailer for developer Ryu Ga Gotoku's Stranger Than Heaven appears to have confirmed it's set in the same universe. As part of a recent Xbox Partner Preview, a new trailer for Stranger Than Heaven revealed the game will take place in Japan across five different time periods and cities. Starting in 1915, the trailer flashes between different decades and locations until reaching 1965. It's there the trailer reveals a landmark that is immediately identifiable to fans of Ryu Ga Gotoku's Yakuza franchise--the red gate to Kamurocho, the fictional Tokyo neighborhood based on the real-life Kabukicho that is the central location for most of the Yakuza games. That Stranger Than Heaven is connected to the Yakuza series isn't all that surprising. Both put an emphasis on bloody hand-to-hand combat and deal with the Japanese criminal underworld. It also won't be the first Ryu Ga Gotoku game to not feature Yakuza in name but basically be one at heart. In 2018, Ryo Ga Gotoku released Judgment, a Yakuza spin-off starring a detective that took place in Kamurocho. It received a sequel, Lost Judgment, in 2021.Continue Reading at GameSpot

World Of Warcraft: Midnight Review - Back At It Again In Quel'thalas An approachable endgame, player housing, and a nostalgic campaign make WoW's 11th expansion worth playing for new and returning players.

My World of Warcraft: Midnight review is live! Expansion is great in many ways, even if it doesn't feel as quite a big leap forward as Dragonflight or The War Within. The revamped Silvermoon and Eversong and all the new dungeons in particular are fantastic.

WoW: Midnight's Player Housing Is Great, If You Can Afford The Decor Grind Near-limitless creative possibilities are currently held back by expensive grinds and missing quality-of-life features.

Along with the review I did a piece on the current state of housing. The creativity is definitely shining through, but there's some stuff that feels like it's missing and decor prices need to be figured out. No doubt those things will come in time, but for now housing is good, not great.
