Oh WOW I want to go to there. (The Maine Jewish Museum, I mean, though I would gladly visit Accra again if life were to permit.)

Cops Arrested a Black Pastor Watering His Neighbor’s Flowers. The Alabama Supreme Court Is Fine With That The opinion in Jennings v. Smith transforms the state’s stop-and-identify law into a show-me-your-papers regime.

Somehow, the bodycam footage of Alabama police arresting a Black pastor watering his vacationing neighbor's flowers makes the story even more surreal than the headline suggests. They keep threatening to cuff a man who is *actively spraying planter boxes the entire time*.

On this Confederate Surrender Day I would like to commemorate the liberation of my great great grandfather Elijah Mitchell born in Appomattox County, Virginia. In 1865 the next day was erev Pesach, the eve of Passover. He was 15 years old.

Lord Save Us From The Save Act — And Trump's EO Listen now | The Election Crimes Bulletin returns with Palast and KPFA host Dennis Bernstein

Forget the idea that Trump’s gonna call off the elections. He doesn’t have to — if you fix the elections. Remember they have elections in Russia. It’s not a question of elections. It’s a question of whether you have a fair election. gregpalastinvestigates.substack.com/p/lord-save-...

The 28th Virginia battle flag is a Confederate battle flag that belonged to the 28th Virginia Infantry Regiment. Captured by the 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment at the Battle of Gettysburg, the flag was brought to Minnesota and exhibited at the state's capitol for several years before passing into the permanent collection of the Minnesota Historical Society after 1896 where it has remained since.

Happy Confederate Surrender Day from Minnesota where we still have your goddamn flag and we’re not giving it up.

The flip side is the price of traveling and lack of TSA agents means I get to live my childhood dream of hitchhiking across the country.

Surely the President’s task force on antisemitism will be looking into this pronto to figure out how this could have happened.

Mainstream America: We are obsessed with Heated Rivalry and Drag Race. We love them and can't get enough.
American Democrat politicians: LGBT people are not culturally normal. We will not speak of them.

"Hi. My name is [your name]. I am calling on Gov. Ivey to grant mercy to Sonny Burton who is set to be executed on March 12, 2026. Not only does the State of Alabama admit that he was not the killer and received a grossly disproportionate sentence compared to the actual killer, but Sonny's health is deteriorating rapidly. Crippling Rheumatoid Arthritis leaves him reliant on a wheelchair and a high fall risk.
He even wears a helmet to protect his head during falls. Killing Sonny will not serve the people of Alabama. Please commute his sentence."

Alabama set to execute man who did not kill anyone Unless Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey intervenes, Charles “Sonny” Burton, 75, will be executed Thursday. He is among thousands in America convicted under a controversial felony murder law.

Sonny Burton is set to be executed by the state of Alabama on Thursday. There is a direct line between a government that murders its own citizens and the devaluing of life abroad. The sin has always started at home.

i think this is what drives me nuts. people talk about how, say, the UN was founded by "starry eyed idealists" who didn't understand "reality." the truth is that the UN was founded by those who had just fought and *won* the bloodiest war in human history.

Goes without saying but this is a Massive problem, not just in what they’re doing but who they are literally, per our sources, drawing inspiration — about what to do next in the twin cities and elsewhere — from how the U.S. has handled foreign wars including ones we lost
