Trump is on TV now talking about perhaps resuming the bombing of Iran.
Almost two months since he started the war.
And the position of GOP members of Congress is that the people's representatives in Congress should have no say on this. They really do think Trump should have the power of a king.
Is there reason to think this is true? Did the aides say, "Sir, you're crazy, so let us handle this?" Or did they bar the door? I'd like the reference to the supposed WSJ article, too, not just reposting third-hand accounts.
“They wanted to close up the strait again…as they've been doing for years,” Trump said Saturday. Of course Iran hasn't been closing the Strait of Hormuz "for years." Quite the contrary. The Strait is closed because of Trump's war. It's an indictment of his policy, and so he lies about the history.
Is "subversive text" anything the person in charge doesn't agree with? This proposal does sound dangerous.
