King David was the Old Testament, when Jews were in the dispensation of law. Christ fulfilled the law & we are now in the dispensation of grace. As a Christian our only “law” is to follow the teachings of Christ. Which is to love God & 2ndly LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS AS WE LOVE OURSELVES.
