It was more about contributing to a community than building your own numbers and that's what I really miss

Modern social media feeds are all about being the biggest and the best... Old dA let you share art with everybody, and see art from everybody, not just the top "content creators" 😭😭

The closest I can find is Artfight and Toyhouse, but even still it's not as casually friendly as old dA used to be. And those are just for OCs, it's so hard to find a good art-sharing fandom-focused community that also functions as an art gallery!!! And that's crazy!!!

I'm right there with you and it's tragic because nothing has truly been able to capture the community that used to be on there... deviantArt is the first place I found to share art with others online as a kid! It was so important to me but now it's a hollow shell :( Unrecognizable

I was watching someone (AboutOliver) play Minecraft completely blind and try to figure it out all by himself, and he used the written books to take notes on his discoveries for how things work!
