wait are there really people who are game devs and Aren't furries?!?
Cross the Worlds (Sonic Racing Crossworlds, Philips CD-I, 1993)
now that would be Too effective HAHAHA
HOW DARE --
stress kills
needs more skeletons
BEN??!!??
now that is dedication
Oh yo I remember this game from one of those game showcases during GDC week, great stuff I LOVE the art direction
'save scumming' oh you mean responsible version control for gameplay I'm sorry I didn't realize making incremental backup states to restore as needed was a bad thing smh
this is extreme cope oh my god
the app also limited a lot of tags that the app stores didn't agree with or whatever the fuck, like you could not search "#furry" on the app for as long as I used it (which was not long)
Same!! I really miss the old profile customization with stamps and basic coding. It was my introduction to coding as a kid!!
dA users also post bases with layers and file dependency as well as 3d assets
It was more about contributing to a community than building your own numbers and that's what I really miss
Modern social media feeds are all about being the biggest and the best... Old dA let you share art with everybody, and see art from everybody, not just the top "content creators" 😭😭
The closest I can find is Artfight and Toyhouse, but even still it's not as casually friendly as old dA used to be. And those are just for OCs, it's so hard to find a good art-sharing fandom-focused community that also functions as an art gallery!!! And that's crazy!!!
I'm right there with you and it's tragic because nothing has truly been able to capture the community that used to be on there... deviantArt is the first place I found to share art with others online as a kid! It was so important to me but now it's a hollow shell :( Unrecognizable
should have a "idk I'm bored and want to work on something" option that randomly either opens a past project or starts a new one
They want to pay senior level workers an entry level salary, that's all it is
good shit
Look how clever my 11yo is!
He did this all from scratch! 🤩
throwback thursday: go tell the magpie
When I graduated with a game dev degree, my professor discouraged us from entering "the industry" because of how unsustainable and grueling it is well known to be. I believe indie can do better, once we all have a little more sustainability in our lives in general...
i love that your tasks are weiner dogs
I'm still getting used to bay area transit

Trying to act morally superior while still telling the dev to kys is insane
I was watching someone (AboutOliver) play Minecraft completely blind and try to figure it out all by himself, and he used the written books to take notes on his discoveries for how things work!
No you're so right I think players need to be able to take notes in-game it's so much fun
