Sam Josey secures a dominant 15-6 victory in the finals to become a high school national champion.
Representing his home club; Smitty’s Wrestling Barn, as well as SJP.

Sr Capt Jimmy Lally got his 200th varsity win on day 2 of this year’s All-State tournament, vs his opponent from Newton North.
Jimmy finished his high school career the following weekend with 205 total wins, and will continue his wrestling career with Norwich University.
Officially celebrating a career milestone for SJP wrestler Graham Conway. Graham got his 100th varsity win during this year’s D1N sectional tournament vs his opponent from Methuen.
Graham is a junior this year and will be back next year for his senior season.

Freshman wrestler Mason Trela had a chance this weekend to compete for a 15U Youth New England Championship, and he did not let that chance go to waste!

190lbs freshman Sam Josey finishes his season with a CNESSPA New England Championship!
Sam is the 1st freshman in SJP history to win a NE title, and was also the 1st freshman in SJP history to win an All-State title.
The future is bright for this Eagle! 😎🦅
144lbs Sr Capt Jimmy Lally with a second place finish at the 2026 CNESSPA New England Championships.
Jimmy also won the Most Outstanding Finals Bout award for his performance in the finals.
He finishes his SJP wrestling career with 204 total wins.

After a great weekend at the All-State tournament, 4 SJP wrestlers have once again qualified for New Englands and will battle the best wrestlers in the northeast. The tournament will be held in Providence, RI.

D1N was a bloodbath! Only the top 4 advance in each weight. A lot of talented wrestlers across all of the teams in this section did not make qualify yesterday for D1 states.

Central Catholic is one of the top teams in the state.
This is a great event every year. Don’t miss it.

Your prep wrestlers will be in West Springfield this weekend for the West Side Duals
There will be a dedicated mat for sub varsity matches to keep things moving throughout the day
The varsity team should have their first match around 11 AM.

(31st total conf title)
This year, we had all of our conf duals in one super quad on the MLK holiday Monday.
Thanks to all of our conference teams and coaches for coming together to make this happen!
