Looking forward to trying it!
Bought a jar of Jostaberry jam at the Parkinson’s event. Never had this jam before!
Someone brought a sock puppet to the Parkinson’s event so of course we made a poem about it!
Good to see @imcmillan.bsky.social, talk about books old, new and delayed, shared reviews of one we'd both read. Talk about hopes for the future, and other things less certain.

The first crop of the year , putting egg shells in the soil around the plants has helped make it redder and sweeter :)
Sorry about last Friday.
First cup of tea: bury this in a time capsule for future generations to marvel at. Well, just the cup. Let me sup the tea first.
Looking forward to the BBC Proms already! As ever, I’ll try to listen to as many concerts as I can, to nurture my soul and fortify my spirits. @bbcsounds.bsky.social @bbcradio3bot.bsky.social

Morning Dave
Fred and I stand outside the shop talking about rhubarb. He describes how his is growing. I describe mine. He says I can all of his because last year he threw it in the bin. I say I’ll take whatever he’s got. The shopkeeper arrives.

Early stroll. Horizon like a one-bar electric fire. A curling wave of orange peel. That snail’s long journey. A blackbird’s sculpted song. A dropped piece of string as long as a piece of string.
Looking forward to

Colour capitalism: an elderly woman in an apartment looks out of her window at a snowstorm and looks deeply concerned. A child behind her looks, by contrast, fascinated and excited.
Whether in colour or black and white, this cartoon by William Steig is quite wonderful.
Yes, a while ago. Feel I should reread it.
Didn’t notice that. Well worth reading the novel.
👍
Just finished this astonishing novel; what a tremendous book it is. Highly recommended.
The cover of a jigsaw box. The illustration is made up of 18 different ladybird illustrations, some cover pictures and some internal pictures, all featuring young children or toddlers.
A family friend found this vintage Ladybird 1000-piece jigsaw in a charity shop and gave it to me.
Isn’t is a thing of beauty?
