Finally found a new job after a long 8 months of searching.

It had to be a troll, there's no fucking way somebody actually walks around cons looking for people who make music just to give them that horrible spiel and expect any kind of response outside of "fuck off." If it was, massive props for actually getting to me lol

I'm still trying to process all that happened during the convention over the weekend, but one thing that stuck out to me was meeting somebody who clearly thought of music as a money printer more than a creative medium. Dude just sounded like a car salesman, and shamed me for making music as a hobby.

Even worse, it sucks that people try to assume things about your character along with your role. Bottoms are shy and bashful, tops have to make sure they're presence is known. It feels like an extension of sexism but for lgbt.

Today was extremely productive, and I seem to be more prepared for these certifications I've been looking at than I previously expected. I might return to Telegram and Discord tomorrow.

Day 2 of Job hunting, I managed to get 6 applications out yesterday. The goal is to get 2-5 out every day until I find something good.

I'm starting to move most of my notes into Obsidian, and tables/spreadsheets into Google Sheets. But the organization is still fairly foreboding.

The hardest part of finding a new job is definitely finding jobs to apply for in the first place. Most of my job searches aren't even yielding jobs within the field I'm searching for (Dev Ops or Cybersecurity) It's extremely demotivating.
