It’s a mindset, not the dream
You’re the one who has to change

You don’t get abundance by wanting it.
You get it by sitting down, opening the vein, and letting old ideas out.
What’s left has room to grow.💗
It’s a slippery slope
I’m posting great ideas, ones that have worked for me in the past. The trouble is, they don’t solve things, they soothe instead.
I make beauty
I hold space
I write toward truth
I don’t rush impact
I trust the ripple
What do you offer in times of collective chaos?
They sip coffee.
They rearrange notebooks.
They clean their house.
The surprise isn’t that waiting kills the work.
It’s that writing starts the moment you stop asking time for permission
It starts when you pick up the pen and write
I hate writers who wait for inspiration.
They talk about it like a rare bird
They talk about how it hasn’t landed yet,
how the weather isn’t right,
how the season feels off.
Leaving is easy.
Anyone can go when it gets cold, or quiet, or uncomfortable.
Staying takes patience, attention, and courage
Out on the ice, what survives isn’t what runs away, it’s what holds firm.
Staying isn’t weakness
It’s strength that doesn’t need an exit
and it’s why anything lasts.
A bridge invokes a story of leaving without looking back.
I once thought crossing it was the win
Some things don’t need escaping.
They need naming.
And when you name them, the power changes hands.
“You stayed because love
had been taught as endurance,
because hope is persuasive,
because leaving looks loud
from the inside.
”by Tree Langdon, Words In Motion
Good writing isn’t born from big events.
It comes from noticing the small, human bits everyone else rushes past.
The words you’re missing are already here
You just didn’t stop long enough to see it.

If you think you have nothing to write about, you’ve stopped paying attention.
I used to think I needed more words to explain myself.
Then I looked down at my scuffed boots and realized I’d already said everything by showing up.
If you’re waiting for the world to be decent before you live bravely, you’re choosing comfort over aliveness.
Bloom right in the middle of the thorns.
I dare you.
It took weeks to notice what had changed.
The shoreline wasn’t the same anymore.
Not because the lake had shifted,
but because I had been moving the whole time,
even on the days it felt like I wasn’t going anywhere at all.
I showed up anyway.
Pushed off.
Pulled once. Then again.
Some days the lake gave me light.
Some days it gave me nothing but sore arms and the sound of my own breathing.
Every morning, the canoe waited where I left it, nosed into the reeds like it hadn’t moved an inch.
Same paddle.
Same water.
Same quiet that felt almost disappointing.

So I stopped editing mid-thought and kept walking.
That’s when I noticed the plaque bolted into the railing—small, easy to miss:
This bridge was built after the first one failed
It held, whether my thoughts were elegant or sloppy.
One morning, halfway across, I realized something unsettling:
the sentence I’d been revising wasn’t a story at all.
It was an apology.
To myself.
For waiting until I “got it right” to move forward.
The bridge didn’t care.
I crossed the bridge every morning with a sentence half-written in my head.
I’d revise it with each step—tighten here, soften there—until it almost felt true.
