I'm thinking about taking a research trip aboard the Empire Builder, a classic route from Seattle/Everett to MSTP, and then onto Duluth. Have to figure out $ and 🕰️. And if this is really, truly, absolutely necessary.

- Time script draft for same presentation.
- Finish read-thru of this char arc _before_ revising. I always think I can read and rev and I'm always wrong. And now I have to fix this mess.

It's a tie between being inside a bookstore and being in a comfy chair with a good light inside a bookstore.

I don't really care which part of the bookstore. Unless I'm near someone reading aloud to small children. Then I'll also need a pillow and a fuzzy blanket.

I don't like Whitman's poetry but today I read and my heart is breaking. In the midst of civil war he found compassion and hope, while now the worst of us rage and destroy.

I fight. I resist. I'm capable of being moved to tears by an old poet's gentle and furious words.

Goals for this week.

- Gym is closed, so take walks instead.
- Pet cats.
- Read research for 2 char arcs I'm revising.
- Try to figure out why some writers say, "self-edit," instead of "revision" or "rewrite."
- Work on PPT for May.
