with you, Lord Jesus;
help us truly to open our hearts
to you in prayer,
that we may listen deeply
for your wisdom and guidance,
your leading and call.
May the love and peace

and world around us.

your being as Holy Trinity,
evinces your call to community

Guide and help us, your disciples,
to reveal this community
in our life together;

at home in your love,
joined as a family
where our individuality is celebrated,
yet external differences and diversity
make no impact on our belonging
or our welcome.
Help us always to focus
on that which we share in common,
in your grace.

Lord Jesus,
let it be enough for us
to dwell in your presence and your peace,
to rest into our identity
as adopted children of your kingdom,
to know our security in your love.
Keep from our hearts and souls
any anxiety about belonging;
root us firmly in your grace.

Lord Jesus,
whether this day finds us
alone or with others,
sedentary or active,
creative or contemplative,
proactive or patient,
keep us aware
of your presence with us,
your love for us,
your peace infusing our lives.
May we find ways to share your love
as we can.

Thank you, Lord Jesus,
that however tough
the rooms I’ve been in
this past couple of weeks,
you have done, and you keep on doing,
what you did for the disciples
in the upper room:
been here with your love and peace,
driven away all fear,
and affirmed your promises.

entering the city in humility
to the Hosannas of the crowd,
as Pilate entered the other way
with his display of power and prestige,
keep us always focused on your kingdom,
not on the empires of the world,
that our lives may shine
the light of your love.

with a desire to serve one another,
and to honour those who serve us
in their leadership;
let your love be the hallmark
of our relationships
and our interactions,
that in all, we may reveal
your grace, your blessings,
and the joy of your peace.

from the love of money
and the wealth of this world;
turn our gaze instead
to the treasure of your kingdom:
help us to see one another
with your eyes of love,
welcome one another
in the hospitality of your grace,
and live out your peace.

from the temptation
to sell the gift of your peace
for the price of the
approval and adulation
of those who pursue the goals
of power and prestige,
of personal gain and greed.
Set our hearts on
the prize of your kingdom,

in all the ministries
and responsibilities
we accept and bear
as we seek to follow your call
and walk in your way,
that our lives may reveal
your love, your grace,
your truth, and your peace
in all we do, and to all
with whom we have to do.

Lord Jesus, help us to see
not merely with the eyes of the world,
the eyes that perceive only
the surface and the simple;
help us rather to see as you see,
to see the realities of your kingdom,
made visible by your grace,
and so reveal your hope
to a world in need.

to see the infinite value in our children,
in all the children of the world,
and in all the children of your kingdom;
for all are made in your image
and your love,
all are precious in your sight,
all give us opportunity
to be a blessing.

in the love with which
you surround and sustain us;
let us shine with its light,

faith not in our own power,
nor in the material strength
we can wield,

not only for those
who hold different views to us,
or those whom we think
should suffer your judgement,
but also for ourselves;
we are not perfect.
and yet are offered
your forgiveness and healing,
so help us offer your peace to all.

On this Feast of St Joseph, Lord Jesus,
be with all who accept and bear
responsibility in loco parentis
for children not their own.
May your love fill them,
inspiring a deep love
to flourish in their lives,
and to bear fruit
in the lives of all
for whom they care.

Fill us, Lord Jesus,
fill our hearts and minds,
our souls and spirits,
with the fullness
of your law of love;
may our lives shine
with the light of your grace,
that our way may be illumined
and our course set
by the compass of your kingdom,
as we pursue your peace.

in the covenant made by your blood,
in the power of your love.
Grant us the grace

whether our steps take us
to familiar places

we are what you have made us,
bearers of your image
that others may feel
the pulse of your love in us,

built for ourselves,
nor even on what we have
built to honour you,
but on what you have
built among us in your love;
dwelling with us, living our life,

with all that we are;
